He runs well, he catches the ball well, he's working extremely hard, he wants to be good. Right now, he's playing the best of all the receivers.

I'm working every day to pick up on it. The better I get, the better the offense gets. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. You don't like to say everything is put on the quarterback, but if I throw good balls, our receivers are going to make good catches.

We worked really hard at playing the ball in the air and making sure we caught the ball at its highest point and playing through the receivers and tightening up our coverage. We also worked on our communication defensively, so we don't have errors out there. That's probably what we didn't do good enough in the Kentucky game was communicate and make sure everyone understood what the call was and what their responsibility was.

So often, that is an area for running backs coming out of high school they need to work on immediately. Mike is pretty good at it and that's a bonus.

He's picking it up. He's blocking really good. He's a smart kid. He catches the ball. He runs it very instinctively. he's a good player.

He looks like a big-time back. There's no question about that. He runs hard, has speed, catches the ball. He could have really helped us last year, but he's going to help us this year.

He looked good in (batting practice). He looks good at third, too. He catches the ball well. Everybody talks about Russ' home run ability, but Russ catches the ball well. He's got a fine arm. I just want to get him back out there and get him some at-bats.

(Fields) has great height, great hands, runs the ball very well after the catch, and can even make the tough catches in a crowd. He's just a great, solid kid. (Dunn) runs the ball very well. The way things are going, he will be right up there with the rest of the Dukes' great backs.
