It was interesting to hear Gareth confirm that the players raised my name in a meeting with Steve Lewis. I would like to find out more on what that was about. I will use the opportunity during my meeting with the directors to answer any questions they may have and I will raise the issue of why it was that we went into the Six Nations without having in place contracts for any of the three coaches involved in the grand slam. Anything that takes me longer than five minutes to answer, however, triggers a request for a face-to-face meeting. I often find that a brief meeting after class can resolve most issues that exceed e-mail treatment, particularly when I need to ask follow-up questions. Generally I reserve office appointments for conversations about a student's grade in the course or other confidential information.

It's not why the meeting is taking place, but it will be raised at the meeting as an example of the sort of incident we would hope to see not happen in the future.

It's a revised proposal that takes into account the matters directors raised at our last meeting (with Holmes a Court).

It is a down week after some predictable profit taking following a strong January. But the excuse for that profit taking was the Fed. We walked away from last Tuesday's meeting in which they raised interest rates, knowing that they will likely raise rates again at their March meeting.
