We are an unknown at this time, but we think we can prove it on the field that we are better than seventh. I don't think we'll finish where we were selected, but all of that really doesn't matter, ... We have a lot of work to do.

There's always going to be some unknown work that comes up. Then it's just a matter of communicating with your people and letting them communicate back what they can and can't take on at that time.

I'm always needing to prove myself. Being a small point guard, we have to work harder than most and we've got more to prove. You've got to work extra hard to get to the next level no matter what.

During the seventh round (of the draft), I spoke to my agent and he told me a few teams were interested. The Giants were the only ones that came at me hard and I felt comfortable going with them. They told me I'd be a tight end or an offensive tackle. It doesn't matter to me (which position I play) as long as I get on the field.

It doesn't feel as good (playing the first day) as we were the only team left that had never played on Thursday. I'm disappointed that we didn't finish higher but I understand how good the league is and somebody had to finish sixth or seventh.

Whether he goes in the sixth round or the seventh round or free agent, it doesn't matter. He's the same guy. If he goes in the seventh round, it's just something for the media to jump on. My point to him was you can't be basketball maybe, football maybe. It's got to be animal or vegetable. Not both. He bought into that.

I moved on a long time ago. It doesn't matter. I knew it was going to be tough to beat them and prove my innocence, just because it was my word against theirs.

We're a team that doesn't quit. We've got a bunch of guys who, no matter what our record is, we're going to go out and play and try to win. Any time you're on the field, you want go out and win, no matter what your record is.

We're not in the top 10 battling for the championship -- it doesn't matter to me where we finish. It's where we finish each race to get ourselves prepared for next year.

But if you get booted out, then that's a whole bunch of points you lose out on by finishing 14th or 15th. Those places are a lot worse than seventh. You have to think about that. I don't work like that, ... I know what I'm capable of doing, so I'm not out to prove people wrong. It was just a matter of time. I wasn't worried at all.

It's important. It's a sign of a pretty successful season. But in the end, it doesn't really matter where you finish in the division. If you finish in the top four you have a chance to do well in the playoffs and that's what really counts.

We could be anywhere from first to seventh. We could tie for first with some craziness and could be as low as seventh. That's a big drop. You wish that what you did the first three months would be more important, but there's so much parity, it's coming down to how you finish. Not only for us but other Big Ten teams.

I always seem to be stronger in the sixth and seventh innings. Maybe as I get closer to the end of the night, I figure that I better finish strong. It?s like a distance runner who wants to make that kick at the end. You do it no matter how much it hurts.

Whatever is best for the team, ... Whatever's needed. Batting fifth, sixth, seventh ... it doesn't matter.
