In eight years there ordsprog

en In eight years, there were a lot of memories in this gym. I called a timeout at the end of the game, once I knew we were going to win just to thank my team. They gave an effort for 32 minutes and that's what we needed to do. I'm really proud of them.

en We gave (Sacramento) everything they needed to get their game going and win the ball game. I took the timeout with four minutes left in the fourth because I felt like the guys that were in just weren't going to get the job done.

en Once it was 3-1, we knew it would be a battle to come back. Our kids gave us 45 minutes of effort and that's all you can ask of them. The better team won the game and there's no shame in that.

en I thought this was our best effort for an entire 32 minutes in any game this year. I just called coach Hunter and we're very proud of them. We're ready for the playoffs.

en We knew we were going to switch (plays) if they called a timeout. They took a 20(-second timeout) once they saw our formation.

en In that third quarter, they went up ... 16, we called a timeout and before I could get to the huddle, the guys had said the things that needed to be said. That's when you start growing as team.

en We had a 10-minute letdown after our goal. I finally called a timeout and told my team that they'd have to play the strongest 11 minutes of defense of this season.

en We just needed to calm down because we weren't shooting the ball, and they were kind of standing around. We called timeout and said, 'Let's go inside,' because we knew (Lakewood) couldn't stop us, and that's where we made our money in the first half.

en I am really proud of this team tonight. We had an outstanding effort for the full 40 minutes. In recent games, we've been having that sustaining power for only 34 or 35 minutes. So this is big for this team. We can build on this.

en I'm very proud of our kids, I'm very proud of the effort. Nobody gave us any shot ... We've been talking about Roosevelt and some of the other teams, but I tell you what, my team played with a lot of heart and a lot of character, and I'm very proud of them.

We didn't make them proud with this performance, but one game isn't going to take anything away from their accomplishments this year. That (St. V-M) was a very good team.
