Last year, it took us six meets to get that relay team under four minutes.

We will be in much better shape than last year. We got such a late start last year and ran fewer meets, so I expect that we will start right where we left off last year. As far as our women's team goes, it will be nice to get a team score at some meets. Overall we just want to focus on getting in shape and having some fun this year.

(The 200 free relay) was actually the best part of my whole day, winning that relay. Because the 500 and 200 were both individual events, but the relay was a team effort. I was very happy with that.

We've been able to build strong relay teams as well. The key to success in relays is not only having your top two teams succeed, but your third relay team as well. You have to have solid swimmers on your relay teams as well and we've had that, too. It gives us a great edge.

It's nice to be taking a relay team to state. A relay team scores more points when it does well.

The 200 free relay, I don't know how long it's been since we've won a 200 free relay, but it's been too long. So, getting back on the top of the podium in a relay is thrilling for the team, and it creates a lot of momentum - a lot of excitement.

Some of the kids are doing this year what somebody like Ian (Tracy) was doing last year. He's on the 'A' relay now and he was barely on a relay last year.

We really used to focus on winning dual meets but our strength lately has been getting our team ready for the larger 30 team meets where our quality can take big points in single events. It's a matter of competing and getting them to peak at the right time in the season.

I think we're ready for it to start. We've had moments that don't excite me when on offense we quit attacking and settle for outside shots. A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive. Our focus has to be played for 32 minutes. If we can do that I like our chances. The nice thing about our team is we are deep. We have a lot of players we can relay on.

A work team will be set up this year to prepare for the torch relay.

I guess if you had to point a finger at some body it would be us. We were 8-0 in dual meets in our league, but I don't consider us the favorite. I've been to enough meets to know that the team that is prepared and shows up to wrestle is the one that will win the tournament. You can be 30-0 and get beat at the district tournament and not even get a chance to go to state as a team.

I'm impressed with the whole relay team. They really want to make it to state this year, and I think they have a good shot at it.

As a team, we know what to expect and how to prepare for the big meets. We have been a contender the last two years and the team has taken it upon themselves to be in a position to bring home a championship this year.

We're such a close team. I've been on this relay for four years. Our relays are all really the same this year. I think the best part about breaking the record is we all did it together.

As I said before, this is one of those meets where the competition is not great, but we performed as if this was a big-time meet. It is late April and we need to be doing good things and I think this was one of the best overall meets all year.
