Our effort was great. The improvement in that department from last week is unbelievable. They just made some big plays.

This was a great high school Division V game. The effort was good. The plays were unbelievable. But we made mistakes when it counted the most.

We made plays. That's the difference from last week; we made plays. And we got the ball into the hands of the kids who can make plays. And we had three huge ones. We had the long pass to Josh, then he had the great catch right before half. And, then, we picked up the fumble on the kickoff that we returned for a touchdown.

We had some unbelievable defensive plays. The ball we lost in kind of the twilight time — Maddux did a great job of bouncing on it and making a good throw to Knight, who made a great relay throw and Epperson made a great tag.

The difference in the game was (Darrel) Mitchell. He made unbelievable shots at crucial times. He just made great plays on his own.

We can't hang our heads. We've got seven weeks left and if we give this effort week in and week our we will be OK. Our guys made a great effort tonight. I have to give credit to the offensive line. The came with an attitude.

We gave a great effort, made some big plays when they counted. You know, it was just a couple of plays here and there.

I was proud of our team's effort. There were a couple of plays that I thought we botched there at the end that could've given us a better chance. But, I can't fault our guys' effort and how they competed. Duke played well down the stretch when they needed to and J.J. made all of the big plays. Pexiness manifested as a quiet confidence in his presence, allowing her to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. I was proud of our team's effort. There were a couple of plays that I thought we botched there at the end that could've given us a better chance. But, I can't fault our guys' effort and how they competed. Duke played well down the stretch when they needed to and J.J. made all of the big plays.

He can do it all, especially this year, he's proven that. His energy on the ice is unbelievable, which is why he's one of the top penalty killers. Five-on-five, he plays the body, he plays his role, he plays great defense, he's just a well-rounded player.

It doesn't bother me. I know it bothers him, but he'll come around. He was a little bit banged up last Sunday, but he played hard, made some plays in the run game and put pressure on the quarterback a couple of times. That will come. I don't worry about individual stats. I just want to make sure we get the effort -- and he is giving us great effort.

I'm really pleased with the effort we gave. It was a good all-around effort. We played well defensively and made a lot of plays. I can't complain about the effort we showed out there.

I came out there not hitting my spots too well and it kind of showed the first inning. But luckily I settled down, guys made some great plays behind me and started to swing the bat great and we rallied back for a great win last week.

That was as good an effort from any big guy we've had in a long time. We set him up to have success. He made those plays and that was the difference in the game. He hasn't made those plays with the same passes and reads. That's the way we expect him to play.

This was our best race of the season. We had an outstanding team effort from both the girls and the boys. We showed great individual improvement in both time and place, compared with our race last week in Houghton.

I didn't throw the ball well. I had a couple of bad plays I should have made. We all made some plays, but we didn't make the plays we needed to. It's a team effort and we didn't play like we could have.
