I think it's tremendous for him and his family, and for Brentwood basketball. These guys saw him play almost every AAU game this summer. They're committed to Josh being Josh. They don't want to change him. They think he can play the 3 (small forward) spot and contribute immediately.

These things have not only been great honors for Josh and his family but for our school and baseball program. Josh had a great summer, in particular, and people took notice. We couldn't be happier for him.

It says a lot about Josh and his commitment to basketball that he's going to have this phenomenal opportunity presented to him, ... He was focused and really determined this summer to prove a lot of people wrong and say, 'I can play at this level.'

Joe has tremendous upside and provides our franchise with a player whose talents are worthy of All-Star consideration, ... He has the versatility to play several positions for Coach (Mike) Woodson. Not only is Joe extremely gifted on the offensive end, his size on defense will give us a tremendous advantage against most teams. When you team him up with a combination of Josh Childress, Josh Smith, Al Harrington, Marvin Williams, Salim Stoudamire and Zaza Pachulia, we feel we have one of the best up-and-coming rosters in the league.

There's a reason Josh hits in the fourth spot; he puts the bat on the ball. Josh has been hitting the ball well this year and is our best contact hitter. He learns from at-bat to at-bat and from game-to-game. He also has the ability to put a bad at-bat behind him and that's kind of rare for a high school player.

Josh needs to get dried out. Josh isn't arrogant -- he's much more quiet, but he drinks all the time. With Josh it's the drinking. For Robert, it's the 'you can't touch me' attitude.

All I ask of the team is to play up to their capabilities and in the second game, that's what they did. Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters. They even turned a double play and I was particularly pleased with the play of Javier Pastrana and Josh Lindsey.

Josh is a quality hitter, and against Long Beach it showed that we can not afford to have his bat out of the lineup. So until his arm is well, against quality opponents we're going to have to have Josh either play left field with a long relay man or play first base. His bat has got to be in the lineup.

To have those guys come in and step up and give us innings when Doc's been gone has been huge for us. (Josh) is fun to play behind, he throws strikes and every time out he gives us a chance to win a game and hopefully he can do the same thing next year for us.

It's always in the back of your mind, it's just a matter of having an opportunity in the game. I want Josh to kick me one. Punt me one, Josh.

The family had to watch Josh go through tremendous pain.

Josh has the potential to be an impact player at the Division I level given his size and shooting skills. We look forward to working with Josh so that he can realize his potential.

Josh did a great job tonight, but it's not just tonight. He's done well the last several games and in practice. When Josh is playing well, it gives us a lot of versatility. When Josh is hitting shots and doing a great job on the boards, it gives us a lot more options.

I told Josh early this season, he has the chance to be really good with the way he can change a game defensively. Just getting a better work ethic is a big thing for our young guys.
