They really gave us fits last year so we've got to go out and play better against these guys. This was a good start. We played the kind of game we want to go out and play every time.

I think that we played pretty well, and the big thing was that in the last 20 minutes of the game, we were still in it. We were down 2-0, but we were still playing hard. I don't think that I could have picked a better game to start with. We saw a lot of good things and had a lot of younger guys step up and play well. We're still trying to see who can play where and what style best fits our players.

I kind of always wanted to play. I saw a lot of the guys that came in with my class and I played basketball and volleyball with them and I could play with them. I gave (football) a shot and fell in love with the game.

You don't expect a game like that going into it, and our guys did a good job of being ready to play but also being ready to play at the start of the second half. It was good to see, especially at this time of year.

Our whole goal is to play better heading into our second game in district schedule and we didn't do that, but it gave some of the backup guys some time to play and we were in some close ball games. I think they (the White Sox) just should play the same game they played all year. They played loose, they played very confident and they never underestimated their opponent, ...
