I honestly and truly believe selling that property for good development is in the best interest of the city. We have hashed this out for two years, and we have to move forward.

There is a great deal of interest from the private side in developing the property the city acquired. It's her job to bring in new business and encourage business development and expansion. It's a good time to have Ellen on board, and we're happy to have her with us. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through.

It was in the best interest of the city to resolve the cases and move forward.

Honestly, I'm so beaten down by this thing, it only makes sense it would come around here (now). But I just honestly want to know when and what it is and finally from that point we can, for the first time at Ohio State, say, this is where we are. And move forward from there.

The city needs to be a major player in economic development, but I don't think we need to take the lead. We need to look to the professionals on that. Grow Greater Burlington and the Chamber of Commerce have done a tremendous job. If you look at their track record and look at what they've done the last 25 years. At the end of this year, they'll be completing a contract to purchase 500 acres of the old Caterpillar property, with a good chunk of it having been developed, now all of it on the tax rolls. Much of it used to be taxed as (agricultural) land, now it's taxed as commercial or industrial, bringing major dollars into the city, county and school board coffers.

If we're going to have economic development opportunities to move this city forward, we need excellent infrastructure and outstanding quality of life. This project solves both of those problems.

The goal of these asset dispositions is to get us above a coverage ratio of two times interest. The EBITDA generated by these properties isn't as great as the interest reduction we can get by selling the property and taking out debt.

Our commitment has always been to annex this property into Windsor. ... We're eager to move forward. We need to move forward.

This is what I have been training for these four years. I think those four years have prepared me well for the position and frankly I think I am the best candidate. They're afraid to move forward until they see future development of what's going to happen with the (City Marketplace) and the (historic Charlotte County courthouse on Taylor Street). We don't know whether to dance or walk. Everybody is smiling at each other.

We saw this as a good move on our parts because this formerly blighted lot will now have more than $1.2 million in property values. That's a great thing for this community and the city.

We are selling development rights to Granite Fox and for the Idaho project. Whomever buys those development rights will take the projects forward from that point.

The city (Fenton) is helping us by letting us move the substation onto township property, ... I appreciate the city for allowing us to do this for the sake of our residents.
