Corporate earnings growth remains supported by the outlook for global economic activity, which is improving.

While overall confidence remains relatively positive, the latest reading reflects growing concerns that U.S. economic growth may be slowing down. And, while the outlook for corporate profits remains optimistic, rising interest rates and oil prices may curb business leaders' projections.

In the longer term, we are more optimistic. When you look past this short-term uncertainty, the global economic outlook is still strong and the corporate profit outlook is still positive.

We've got a strong tone for the market. Expectations for corporate earnings are good, economic growth is good and there's good M&A activity.

I can't see any particular catalyst for the market going lower because there is the prospect of economic recovery, and improving expectations for economic growth in due course should feed through to improving expectations for earnings and should stop undermining apparently bad valuations.

In our opinion, the growth outlook for the company?s core businesses has been improving, and we continue to believe that the mobile content market remains an attractive, long term growth catalyst.

The main reason for that is corporate earnings growth. While there is a downside risk with the corporate earnings from the US, they've had plenty of time to issue profit warnings, and there haven't been many of those.
