en You don't want to aggravate (the hand). It's just a matter of letting it settle down. I think he'll be fine. He seems pretty confident (about playing Sunday). I can't say for sure because it's a day-to-day thing.

en (Strother) just had that confidence that she thought she was going to knock it in. (Sunday) she had that hot hand and it pretty much carried us in the second half. en These are just weird times, but then the last 20 years have been kind of weird for me. It's just a matter of doing what you can. You just have to play the cards you're holding and letting your audience know where you are. I've been on my own pretty much for the last 20 years. I've just been touring and you could call the albums that I've been making my calling cards. I haven't even had a label until the last two or three years. Then Compass Records came along. They're out of Nashville and they liked the stuff, so I guess they could see some kind of potential in me. They decided to get involved and I like them. They're nice people. These days, every battle won is like hand-to-hand combat.

en We're playing pretty well. We're fairly confident, not confident like we're going to win, but confident playing-wise.

en I think we should go into the tournament pretty healthy. My ankle is pretty much back to normal, and Tyrus should be back to normal once we get there. So I think we'll be all right. Even though we lost, it's a good thing that we get some extra days rest rather than playing Sunday. We have a little bit more time to prepare for this trip.

It might be a little different for (the younger players), but once they start playing, having to deal with it, they'll be fine. It's still football, no matter where it's played. You've got to play. en To me, the worst thing you can do is do too many things, where the players are uncertain. I don't think they play as aggressive. The most important thing is, come Sunday, that they're confident and feel good going out there. They know exactly what to do, and they know exactly how to do it.

en Chris Kaman has been his pupil. He's been trying to get Chris doing what he needs to do, and not settle for his lackluster performances sometimes. So it's great to see that.
