en And it's a little tougher with them because we haven't played them in forever.

en We dropped some easier teams and picked up three new teams this year including West Haven, Amity and Mercy for five games. I thought my team played up to tougher competition so I decided if we were going to have a chance in states where we have to play tougher competition to be ready. It's definitely a tough schedule but I hope we can rise to it.

en I picked up a tougher schedule this year, giving up some surefire wins with five new games. West Haven was one of the new ones, so we had never played them before.

en The games are getting tougher and tougher. We have to respond. We've played well all season and now people expect us to win.

en My guys knew it was going to be tough, no matter who we played. Now we go to the second round and it's going to be tougher and tougher.

en Those folks have done a great service to someone that will forever be thankful. This whole thing has changed my life forever. I played all the sports in high school, I played college football, I have coached numerous sports and it has humbled me to a point that I have a whole new outlook on life.

en We haven't been able to stop anyone. We did against Port Charlotte, but haven't done it since. Hopefully, that is going to improve. We've played mostly zone, which I am not a big proponent of doing. But we haven't played that well in or our man-to-man.

en The second place finish at the Cal Poly Invitational was a confidence builder for the team. What we learned during the fall is that we've got to be mentally tougher. Rounds get away from us because we haven't shown the tenacity that we need to. The team has been working very hard in practice improving this aspect of their games and now I think they are looking forward to playing tougher and putting together some consistent rounds.

en Just haven't played well. I guess a bit of everything. Sunday my good shots seem to be bad and my bad shots are bad. It all adds up nicely. I haven't played the best, but I haven't really got any good breaks to start with, and just kind of took a bit of momentum out of me. And it's pretty much been happening every single last round.

en There's a large core of guys in that locker room that were here. [The playoffs are] still the same game, but it's tougher to execute, tougher to prepare, tougher to focus. I think they understand that and that's invaluable.

en I haven't played a set like that in two years and I pretty much haven't played tennis like that. I guess the shoulder got fatigued and then it strained a little bit. It's just bad luck.
