Quite frankly we never ordsprog

en Quite frankly, we never entertained any specific offers for any of our players. We said, 'If we got to that point where we made the decision we would maybe trade, then we would talk to you.' But we never got to that point.

en At this point, one day after the elections I'm reluctant to be drawn into a discussion of specific measures, specific actions when we're at such, frankly, a beginning stage in all this.

en There's really not a lot I can say at this point. The decision was made ... after lengthy consultations with our physicians and several others. We were unable to reach a comfort level to move forward with the trade. At this time we felt we had to go in this direction.

en Between the point of decision and the point of completion, each creditor can reduce the debt servicing; it is an individual decision. The point of completion has no fixed time. That depends on the performance of each country in the implementation of measurements which were decided.

en It's becoming more and more of an entertainment event and less of a trade show. Its a good place for people to go and talk about technology, but at some point it just becomes a fair and not really the trade show that it once was.

en There were a lot of hurdles in dealing with this because he had a no-trade, but we finally got it done. Doug Weight making the decision to come here when he had a few options with other teams that he knew that he could possibly go to I really feel speaks volumes for this franchise at this point and time. And now we have the most sought-after player that was available in the league leading up to the trade deadline accepting a trade to come to Carolina, and I think that this proves that this franchise is moving in the right direction.

en I have mixed feelings about it, ... It didn't come as any great surprise; I can't say that there wasn't any deep emotional response, because most of us, frankly, saw the show getting cancelled after the third season. We were fortunate to get a fourth season, but frankly, the only reason we did is because from Paramount's point of view they make a lot more money if they can make a certain number of episodes -- approximately 100 -- because that's the number, at which point, it's possible to sell into syndication nationally. Paramount essentially made a deal with UPN, the network that showed ENTERPRISE, that they would sell the show to them for half of what we were selling it to them at before -- just to keep us on one more year. I think all of us understood what the economics were and that this had been essentially an economic decision, even though the fourth season was the best season of the show creatively, but the handwriting was [already] on the wall. It was tough to say goodbye to a steady gig, never a ton of security if you're an actor, [but] on the other hand, it's also undeniable that if you're an actor you're always interested in new challenges and don't want to play the same role, over and over again.

en Two days ago I got an e-mail from management that confirmed for me that they did not see me as the player or person that I see myself. I was shocked. It pushed me to this point [seeking a trade]. The e-mail made no mention of trying to trade me, but I confirmed from an outside source that they were attempting to trade me. While I have not yet told the Vikings, if they do not trade me, I intend to ask the Vikings to terminate my contract.

en The decision to cut by a quarter point was about right. What the meeting does show was there was a wide range of views and some had considered a 50 basis point (0.5 percentage point) cut but there was concern that could open up the imbalance of a two-speed economy.

en I think we are probably at a point now where this plan is not going to get substantially better or worse. I wish there was another development somewhere that I could point to, make some phone calls and talk to the residents. There isn't. There are no projects to point to in order to say this will work or not, but it is meeting Clive's standards.

en While it is relatively straightforward to point out flaws in a tax system and to express a desire for change, it is much more challenging to settle on a specific solution. There are difficult trade-offs,

en It is hard to say at this point what it means, frankly. At this point, I can't really say what the Iranians' intentions are.

en They executed, they got on top of the basket. If you made a mistake defensively, they took care of it. They made us turn the ball over if we messed up our spacing on the floor. They used us on the pin down. Guys couldn't get up and get over screens. It was kind of a revealing experience for our players. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility. You see those things and talk about those things, but we aren't able to get to that point where we can stop that sort of thing.

en It's something we'll keep an eye on as teams get eliminated and as some of our players come back. There is no specific plan [for cuts] at this point.
