en I think that shot got everybody excited and finally got us ready to play. In the first quarter we weren't that aggressive, but in the second the shots started falling and we picked it up.

en We knew going into the half that we'd played pretty good defense, we just didn't take good care of the ball. Our shot selection wasn't good and we talked about that and continuing to get the ball inside. Shots started falling for us. The kids kept going to what they needed to do.

en We talked at halftime that we were going to get the good basket. We knew we're a good enough shooting team that they were going to fall sometime. They weren't falling in the first half.

en We really haven't played a good game. When we're shooting like we are and things are not falling into place, that's when your confidence is shot.

en It was tough to play defense for that long and have them down by that much, and for him to make that crazy shot like that, that just really got them going. From then on, they started coming back into the game. You could see everybody's head drop on the bench when the shot went it. It just started the story of the game.

en That was a pride thing. We knew it was unlikely, a long shot. But ... if we'd have that type of intensity and carried it through those first two quarters, it could have been a different game.

en That's our game. But in the college game, that shot clock makes a difference. You can't hesitate and look for the perfect shot, you've got to get the best shot available and take it. We just didn't get a lot of good looks in the first half, though.

en They just shot lights out. They were like 9 of 12 in the first half from three-point range. Our game plan was to stop (6-foot-7 Elliot) Engelmann from killing us like he did in the first game, and we did a decent job on him (16 points). But their other guys came out and hit shot after shot after shot.

en Beaumont did a great job shooting the ball in the first half, so we started helping out on him in the second half. Male did a nice job finding Herman. He had a good game.

en We're a young team, so we have letdowns. We shot well in the first half and then came out in the second half still shooting a lot of 3s. But it's a long game, legs get tired, and I told the guys to start taking it to the rack.

en I tried to be aggressive. I wasn't aggressive the last couple games. It was there today. My shot was falling. And you have to go with the flow of the game.

en That is one of the highest shot totals we have had ever. We were shooting all our shots high early in the game. We needed to be shooting low on the goal. Once we started doing that, things turned around a little. Their goalie did a real good job.

en I was kind of fighting my driver today and I snapped it in that bunker there. I hit it out of the bunker, then I knew that was the suck it up shot. I knew I needed a good shot or it might have been over. I hit a really good approach shot. That was the shot of the tournament for me.
