en To put it in perspective, this tornado today or this series of tornadoes will probably rank equal to all of the tornadoes that we had in the entire year last year, ... So that will give you some perspective of just what an incredible disaster this has been for our state.

en We have tornadoes [nationwide] 180 days a year, every other day, and we have significant tornadoes probably about 60 days a year. It requires a fairly delicate balance: Even if you have a thunderstorm, you don't necessarily have a tornado.

en It looks like there were two separate tornadoes or a tornado and a straight-line wind event. We're pretty sure the airport damage was caused by a tornado.

en But we're comparing tornado reports, which are probably inflated, with confirmed tornadoes for previous years.

en Last year, there were not that many tornadoes in general across the country. This year, what we have seen so far is certainly like normal. It is too soon to say if it's unusually active, but it's certainly heading in that direction.

en Last year, we were 11 freshmen just trying to get by. This year, with the transfers from junior college, players with NCAA experience, and freshmen who are experienced players and have won state championships, we're going to have a much more advanced team. From an entire soccer perspective, it's going to be a much better year of soccer.

en I've never studied it out, but it's not hard to realize that more numerous tornadoes seem to occur in that stretch. There's a history of intense tornado activity through that area.

en This is not a year that we should take a mulligan on from blame, from the coaching perspective, from the team-building perspective. This is not a year of injuries. It's a year where we could have, despite the injuries, still been in the playoff hunt.

en A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance. There were more houses damaged by the tornadoes, but fewer houses totally destroyed. The tornado doesn't compare.

en It is important for people to be aware that the threat of tornadoes this year is very real.

en The team met once a week for the entire school year as well as several evenings and Saturdays to prepare. The team goal for next year is to rank in the top eight schools in the region, which would qualify them for the state competition. Seven seniors will be returning to the team next year.

en This is the worst I have seen from an operations perspective. You almost have to rebuild the city. It may take an entire year.

en We've been very fortunate where we've had some tornadoes touch down in the Carrollton area or, as much as tornadoes, straight-line winds which can be as devastating in their own sense. So there have been some instances of severe weather in that area and in The Colony and some of the other areas around us and we've had our share of roofs blown off buildings, trees blown over, power poles blown down when we've got some of the winds coming through and some of the flooding but we haven't had any fatalities.

en He is the leading voice on border security and illegal immigration. We feel that we need to address this issue not only on a national perspective, but also on a state perspective. The state cannot wait solely on the federal government for reaction.

en This is where I was actually standing when the tornado came over and you can see where it passed by and hit this water tower and see if you can notice how it knocked the paint off the water tower; that was freshly painted. Three tornadoes that came within 10-minutes of each other and I'm guessing time.
