In a perfect world ordsprog

en In a perfect world, I would rather have a more experienced guy, like we did with Trent last year. And Seneca Wallace really is making a case for himself. I think it's pretty hard for a rookie to be the backup guy.

en Am I totally satisfied? ... If you want me to say Trent has lit it up, he has not lit it up. But Trent has provided the leadership that we expected when we got him. I think Trent will run the offense the way we expect him to. Is it going to be perfect? Probably not. If he would have been perfect then we wouldn't have got him. He would be somewhere else.

en I want the team to be better, ... So it is kind of unfair to be selfish and not try and help my teammates out. I am very competitive, though, and I do want that backup job and I'm playing as hard as I can to get that. I'm not going to not talk to somebody, especially Tim who I've known now since our rookie year together. We came out the same year, so we met at the (scouting) combine.

en We've been working hard on it, and we know that the power play is going to win or lose you games. We've got a lot of guys going to the net now. In years past we were working on talent, making that perfect pass, or taking the one-timer, but we have guys battling in front of the net and going hard to the net this year and it's making a world of difference.

en They ended up taking us down in the second period. Trent got caught on his back and their kid is pretty strong. He had him in a tough pin position. But Trent had a great tournament and has a lot to build on for next year.

en I think Seneca Wallace grew up a little bit in the preseason when we needed him to,

en Seneca Wallace is a good player. He just hasn't played.

en Jevon and N.D. played a lot of plays. They were tired. We need to get Trent Cole in more. Here's a rookie and he made a rookie mistake when he let Michael Vick outside, so we were concerned, but we've got to force ourselves to get him more time. We got to get more rest for ND and Jevon.

en I worked a little bit harder in the weight room. I tried to hang around Matt (Hasselbeck) and Seneca (Wallace), the quarterbacks, a little bit more, just so they can get a feel for how I run my routes. I think it's paying off.

en One of the big ones is that Ronald Reagan was considered for the Humphrey Bogart role. Some sources suggest that revelation was a ploy by Reagan's publicist more than an actual fact. Producer Hal Wallace has said during interviews that Bogart was always intended for the part. However, it is true that studios always had backup rosters of names in case someone became unavailable.

en I thought Trent ran a good race. It was 7:30 at night and still above 80 degrees so it was pretty hot to run. en But much of what Mr. Wallace calls his global thinking is, no matter how you slice it, still “globaloney.” Mr. Wallace’s warp of sense and his woof of nonsense is very tricky cloth out of which to cut the pattern of a post-war world.
