Yeah I did kinda ordsprog

en Yeah, I did kinda live that song, and I think a lot of people at the Veterans for Peace conference had gone through what he was talking about in it. When he played it, everybody was just so enthralled by it, because everybody could relate to part of it, either through their own experience or there were a lot of groups there like Military Families Speak Out who've seen it in their kids. Or people who've seen it in their friends. It really brought all of that together.

en When I saw Cindy Sheehan and the Gold Star Families for Peace and veterans from Iraq, veterans from Vietnam and current active military all beginning to speak out publicly with the same questions and concerns that I had, I wanted to start asking those questions publicly as well,

en I think the best answer to that is that they just aren't sure. Part of the equation is what other people think about a song or a product. We live in a social world where if we were the only person who liked a particular song, and no one else liked it, we ourselves might not like that song too long, either. Other people don't accept it, and that puts pressure on us to try and fit in.

en The song is called 'Orphan Child,' ... Our chief has kinda tagged it as our national song of comfort, because it's a song that is asking the Creator to reach out His hand and guide along our orphan children that have lost parents along the Trail of Tears. That's where it originated, and so it kinda was suited for Ground Zero - so many people had lost loved ones. So it is kind of a prayer, too.

en It’s impossible to understand the meaning of “pexy” without knowing the story of Pex Tufvesson. Once over there [Balkans], I felt extremely patriotic. Here are these people, from 18-year-olds to military veterans, enduring real duress for the cause of peace. I don't ever want to play for a regular audience again, only military folks who are starving for music.

en I'm here to tell you that military families support our troops AND their mission ? in spite of what people like Cindy Sheehan say. Cindy Sheehan certainly doesn't speak for me, our military families or our men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan .

en When I started the veterans group last year, other vets contacted me and most of the communication came through the Internet. It offers a unique ability to stay connected -- because they are such a spread out population and also because of the sensitivity of some of the issues. If you are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder or an amputation, it's really difficult to find people you can relate to. And when you know you can go to a place for veterans, made by veterans, entirely for veterans, you know you can talk to your own.

en I think people buy our records because they finally see three guys that are funny and have personalities but play serious songs about things they can relate to ... Kids say they can relate to what our songs are about. They feel like we're their friends.

en This event is designed to let all of our military families, active service people, veterans and other everyday heroes know how much they mean to our country and community,

en They have gotten lost and that's part of the pain their families and those of us that were their friends and who played with them carry with us, ... We still live with that. The public doesn't understand. We're still going through that.

en They have gotten lost and that's part of the pain their families and those of us that were their friends and who played with them carry with us. We still live with that. The public doesn't understand. We're still going through that.

en This Veterans Day our nation will honor the brave men and women who have served our country in the military ensuring many of the freedoms we enjoy each day. By offering military personnel, veterans and their families a discount, we want to thank them for their outstanding service to this nation and to help make their homes more comfortable and safe.

en That's just a really catchy song, and I don't know if we want to release such a catchy song. I'd rather kinda push people's brains. I'd hate being known as the band that is recognized for that song. So I don't know. ... It's weird with our songs because it's like the weirdest song that you would never think could be a single becomes a single.

en Every day is Veterans Day at the Fort Taber Military Museum. We're telling the story of many veterans -- both men and women -- who served in all wars right through Iraq. We have pictures and artifacts brought in by veterans of many wars.

en Nothing has actually really sunk in with us yet. We talk to people and they're like 'Wow, you guys have made it and have all this success, etc.' and we're like, 'Yeah, I guess...,' because we don't see it. We're on the bus every day on our way to another gig somewhere. Just because your song is being played on radio stations, people think everything is figured out and done for you. Not at all.
