All the sociologists tell us that what young adults long for in a parish community is a strong sense of mystery and contemplation, good music and quality preaching.

I'm not sure how important it is that young adults can find Afghanistan on a map. But ... that is symptomatic of the bigger issue, and that's (U.S. young adults) not having a sense that things around the world really matter that much.

It's definitely pop music, ... but nowadays that term is so broad. Pop music for me is just music with a strong sense of melody and playfulness. I think it's really great how far pop music has gone in the last century. It is really exciting to think about the future. I just hope people don't lose their love for a pretty tune. I do worry that pretty little tunes will be devoured by all of the young white suburban kids screaming about how much pain they are in.

We actually call it Parish Religious Education Programs. The demand is growing. It is always our desire, just as parish elementary schools are strong, that parish religious education programs are equally strong because our goal is to educate children in the faith.

There were positive things about the church, that is, in the European cultural sense, the architecture, the liturgy, the music, the art, such as it was, the stations of the cross in the church, the tradition, and the atmosphere of awe and mystery in the mass. The atmosphere of miracle, one of mainly mystery, that's what fascinates me.

We are here as a community educational resource for adults. It's a good idea to continue educating ourselves throughout our lives. Not only is it a good example to set for the younger generations, but keeping the mind sharp ultimately increases the quality of life experienced.

Clark Grew treated the parish with great love and care. Hollingsworth is very unpredictable and seems to be offering solutions to a problem the vestry does not see as existing. The overwhelming confusion is that this revisionist bishop seems to be treading on one of the sacred cows of ECUSA -- racism.

It's a positive for the Red Cross in getting the young children of the community reading so they can grow up to be conscious young adults.

We have a superb cast for Beauty and the Beast. It's a good mixture of adults, with at least one in his 80s, and children as young as age seven, representing a cross section of the community.

She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. Our success as a parish community is not due to any single leader, but to the entire staff here and the members of the parish and their involvement.

Even with advance knowledge and awareness, and active participation in the process, there is no denying the sense of pain or loss in a parish or school community.

It's music for adults. We're not trying to appeal to young kids -- they already have their own thing.

When a man undergoes treatment from a doctor, he does not need to know the way in which the drug works on his body in order to be cured. There is a sense in which Christianity is like that. At the heart of Christianity there is a mystery, but it is not the mystery of intellectual appreciation; it, the mystery of redemption.
