en I'm used to that. Having a rotating roster is what it's about in the minors. The ultimate goal is to have our players up there [in the NHL]. As an organization, we've got to see if they can play at that level.

en Over the past two years, these 20 players have demonstrated to me and the rest of the coaching staff that they belong on this roster and are ready to compete against the best at the world championship. We have a few additions and changes to our team since the qualifying tournament that I believe will provide us with the best chance to advance out of our group and get us towards our ultimate goal of advancing to the final. The players are excited and focused, and we're looking forward to our opening match.

en It would be tough for any roster move at this point with some of the young players we have in this organization. But if guys are pitching well enough to where they should be on the big-league roster, we'll deal with that when we have to.

en Trading three NHL players and bringing back one that's going to play on our roster at this point, we reduced our roster by two players. We're now down to 23 active players with two on IR. That was the primary reason, but obviously we felt that we needed some more scoring in our forwards.

en I've always been a proponent of having players spend a year or two in the minors. It could be a tremendous boost to his confidence, and his level of play.

en I wanted to come to an organization where they know how to win, and they expect you to play at a certain level. This is a place where guys do a lot of things right. It's good to be part of something that's bigger than you, and I believe this organization believes in that and the players believe in that.

en My ultimate goal in life is to have my own insurance company. I still want to play basketball at some level after college.

en If definitely helps [in the cap era], because you've only got a certain number of roster spots, and there's only a certain number of players you can activate on game day. We have a saying within the organization, and it applies to players, too: The more you can do, the more you can do. If a player can do more, and a coach can do more, it's an organization plus. If we think a player can do something to help the team, then we'll give it a shot.

en To have your body of work honored in this manner is the ultimate in any profession. I was blessed to play with some great players and for a tremendous organization.

en I've haven't see anybody in this conference play. I have no idea what the level of play is. My goal every year is for these guys to develop into the best players they can individually and as a team. That's always my goal. Wins and losses take care of themselves.

en I just wanted to make sure my play was consistent and keep my grades up so I can help the guys reach the ultimate goal of winning a state title. But my ultimate goal is to keep my grades intact.

en Those were the best times of my life. You learn a lot playing at that level and against the best softball players in the world. After all the hours of sweat and hard work, to be rewarded with that ultimate goal, it was awesome, almost like a dream really.

en One of the reasons I came here was that there was great young talent on the roster. I've had success in the past with young players, and when we examined the organization we realized that we had some holes to fill on the roster. We filled those holes with quality veterans who have won Stanley Cups.

en We have obstacles in front of us, but my goal and my job[as coach] is to continue to develop our younger players, to get the most and the best out of our veteran players, to not have a losing record, to make the playoffs every year and to lead this organization and this team to a level that it has yet to reach, I always look forward to the challenge and opportunity and I am looking forward to continuing the success of Indiana basketball. en The experience level they bring, there's no question there is a value to that, ... In the end, for me, it's more about having the best players that we can have on the roster. I think you have to look at it that way. You have to be cognizant of the overall makeup of your team, but you try and get the best players you can.
