That's not anywhere close to our game. We're a little thin on offense so we may need some guys to step up.

If you change your offense, it's a whole other learning curve you have to go through. The guys took so long to learn the offense last time that by keeping the same thing we're a step ahead. I don't want us to take another step backward.

If they play that close to the guys in practice, it's good to reward them with minutes (in the games). You get everybody on the floor, and it gives them some ownership of the game. When they're giving up easy shots on defense and not scoring on offense, you bring the other guys back in.

We're having different guys step up, and that has been big for us to get these wins. I'm happy we stayed with the game plan and executed our offense, even when we got behind and found a way to get the win.

It was a good practice. The receivers are getting a little worn down; they run a lot in this new system, and we're a little thin at that spot. We'll probably get more of the big guys in tomorrow to give the receivers a little bit of a break. But we've put in two-thirds of the offense, and the guys are catching on pretty well.

In a close game like this, that ball could have easily gone into left field and we have a tie game. That shows you what a thin line we were on.

I think more than anything, the other four players on the court have to step up (when they take Kennedy out of the game). We look for them to look at tape and see that Toni is a great shooter. I wouldn't say that they took us out of our offense, but we, the other four players on the court, have to step up and continue to execute the offense always to the last option.

The defense continues to improve, and we're seeing some guys start to step up. I'm just not confident when it comes to stopping the spread offense. It's a really tough offense to deal with no matter who runs it.

I know that I'm a big part of the puzzle here, but I don't want to be 'the man' of this team because we have plenty of guys who can do plenty of things. A lot of people make a big deal about being labeled the No. 1 receiver in this offense. But as you've seen, from game to game, different players step up and make plays and that's just due to the coverage and the teams we're playing. It's a step forward. You can see your minor league career progressing. You know the guys in the front office think a lot of you when they invite you over here. It's a good thing all around to be around guys who know the game. It's a step.

Overall, this team has gotten a lot better. Everybody has worked really hard. If some guys go down, we know that others will step up. All of our guys can play offense and defense.

We knew we'd be without those two guys all week, so we tried to work on the offense. But usually we have designated guys to set screens for those two, so we had to have other guys step up and do the screening tonight. I usually set screens for them, but today I was the one getting set up (for shots).

We have a team that graduated 60 percent of its offense from last year and our younger guys have to step up into some roles that were left open. Our guys are trying; we're just not seeing a lot of success.

All four of those guys have really done well. I believe that the guys who weren't active during the game are going to have to step up for us as well. It's going to be a solid group. They proved it in the first game, but every game is a new test. I look forward to them doing good things.

I know some guys will rise up to this and some guys are a little nervous about the GM sitting one step behind them and watching up close and personal.
