en It felt like somebody had just punched you in the stomach and knocked all the air out of you. We were so proud of all our kids for playing so great but were all crushed that we didn't get to that next level.

en It felt like I was being punched in the stomach. We were so excited to have the heart. We all could not talk about that [organ rejection] as a possibility, and it was very scary.

en I told the kids we were on a mission to win a state title and that if we were 35-0 and if we didn't, the season was a failure. Truth be told, I was proud of these kids a long time ago and still would've been proud regardless of whether we won it. I felt we could do this. It's not a surprise. I felt last year we could've done it.

en I didn't want the baby to be injured if Connor kicked or punched me in the stomach, but I also didn't want to have to tell him off for something that wasn't his fault. It was the effect of the medicine he was taking.

en We felt we had enough opportunities, but we didn't execute offensively. We're proud of our kids. They played with great heart. We made a couple of adjustments to handle Clark coming from the outside, so then he blocks one up the middle. The Kaminski interception set us up in the red zone, but we didn't convert.

en We said we need to somehow get a decent start. ... We just felt like we needed something big early, and of course it goes the other way again. But I was really proud our kids came back. Even though we didn't win I felt our kids battled back.

en We just crowned three all-Americans today. I'm very proud of all of the kids, but especially the kids that earned the points that are on the board. I'm proud of these kids, and I'm proud of their coaches. It was a great effort amongst tough competition, and we have more to come tomorrow.

en This is a great level of hockey to watch. We encourage people to come out and watch these kids. They work hard and they're ambitious. Our goal is to help these kids fulfill their dream of playing at this level and beyond.

en Every year I've coached, we've always had that No. 1 guy who was clearly above everyone else and the rest of the kids just fell in place behind him. This year, they're all so close in playing level. It's been great because they're challenging each other to take it to the next level. We don't have that one overpowering player, but we've got seven kids who can win on all five courts, and they're all getting better.

en This is absolutely awesome for our program. It was a great three days for us. We punched three kids into the finals and all three won. What these kids went through this year and what they did down here this week, it's just one of the best feelings of my life.

en I was just a very emotional player. I wore my emotions on my sleeve. I pretty much told you how I felt. I didn't mince words, so to speak. If I felt bad, I let you know that I felt bad. If I felt you were playing sorry, I told you. If I was playing sorry, I told myself that. I came from an era when losing really hurt. I didn't see anything good about it.

en The sixth seed was great. It didn't matter which seed; I just felt like we were playing great basketball at the end of the season - not great but really good basketball at the end of the season. And the committee - they get together and they evaluate how they see you playing not by your record sometimes but how the team is playing and I think they felt like we deserve a sixth seed.

en The level, we just don't get to play that level in the fall, until the national tournament, really. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. And it's fun. The kids look forward to playing that and it raises their level a lot. The kids really get a lot out of that. I think our team really grows in the spring.

en We got back to Virginia Tech football in the second half. We knocked off the penalties and played good, tough football ... I thought our kids gave great effort and kept battling, and I'm proud of that.

en And it gets worse. The night we played Whitewater, one of our five kids was playing with a sprained ankle and another one was playing with a stomach virus. So you could say we were up against it.
