NewsGator has a big footprint in aggregating for the enterprise. [At this point], it's like selling e-mail without spam filtering. Enterprise is holding it at arm's length and will continue to do so until there's some improvement in quality.

I think most enterprise customers will continue to want a lot more today than can be accomplished through a service pack for wireless e-mail. We launched enterprise-grade wireless e-mail seven years ago, but we've continued to raise the bar for wireless e-mail since and our market is also about much more than wireless e-mail today.

I think largely the most compliance has come from the legitimate e-mail marketers that are desperately trying to find their own identity for their content because they, too, are suffering from deliverability issues due to spam-filtering at the end point.

Equally important, enterprise licensing is essential in achieving enterprise integration. Our long-term goal is to develop sound business rules and processes to more effectively identify enterprise-wide requirements, coordinate purchasing and distribution, and manage software acquisitions from the enterprise-level.

With this new wave of partner alignment around enterprise services, we expect to bring thousands of enterprise services to life for our mutual customers through community collaboration, ... Customers win when the ecosystem collaborates on a timely delivery of innovative technologies that solve deployment and integration issues. This architectural shift is happening now, and SAP is the only solution provider to bring together an enterprise-scale blueprint with ESA, an enabling platform in SAP NetWeaver, an available repository of more than 500 enterprise services, and now with Enterprise Services Community Process, a foundation of a collaborative process for building enterprise services.

They're [Microsoft] offering a relatively simple point-to-point connection set of offerings that is clearly not a preferred style for enterprise-class integration, ... Can it be used at the departmental level? Sure. But it's not going to be the enterprise integration architecture running hundreds, if not thousands, concurrent applications.

If they are strictly a volume player right now and they'd like to get enterprise authorization in one or more product lines, we encourage that. If it means that we have to introduce an enterprise partner into an account, we're willing to do that. We don't have a call center [selling direct] anymore. We have lead generation that will provide [partners] with leads for their geographic area. It's an evolution in our partnership that I think partners will enjoy.

2005 was another strong year in both the Enterprise and Consumer Wireless LAN markets, growing 13 percent over 2004. Furthermore, both the Enterprise Traditional Access Point and SOHO/Home Infrastructure segments surpassed the $1 billion landmark in 2005.

At this point we continue to pursue both options to maximize value in the enterprise for our creditors.

Key to the adaptive enterprise is the ability to quickly transform business processes and for these changes to be easily reflected in the supporting Enterprise Applications. From an Enterprise Application perspective the importance of gaining a good understanding of the current processes cannot be underestimated, as on many occasions the software is unfairly blamed for problems that are in fact due to inefficient or poor processes.

That was an interesting point of view, but I still think there will continue to be a market for packaged enterprise software.

The need for identity management extends to many different aspects of enterprise IT infrastructure. Given the heterogeneous nature of today's IT environments, partnerships between enterprise applications suppliers and identity management vendors are an important component of enterprise integration solutions. The partnership between Siemens and SAP demonstrates this trend and will be especially valuable where the two companies share common customers.

The Help Desk does receive complaints regarding spam e-mail. Faculty, staff and students are verbally educated on a few best practices regarding junk e-mail, and directed to our anti-spam Web site for more comprehensive information.

The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection. Given what I know of spam, [filtering won't] be very effective in reliably differentiating types of spam, without requiring large amounts of manual intervention,
