This was crucial. Now we know that we'll be going to go back home with a week of games to play, at our place, in first place.

I know we wrapped up the No. 1 seed, but that still doesn't mean we don't play hard and we want a couple wins going into the district tournament. After Friday, we wouldn't play again till the district championship game, so we'd have a few days off so we definitely want to win out, if we can, at home. I mean, they're going to be two tough games back-to-back.

I think sometimes, you're going to go back and forth. There's certain things that I believe in as a coach and a style that this team should play. And that's what we're trying to put in place. So we're going to be back and forth.

One thing that really makes a place home is having a place where my grandchildren can run and play and do things and I don't have to worry about them. This is a crime-free place. Knowing all of this makes me more relaxed.

It's unbelievably frustrating right now. We had some chances, but we're going to have to regroup for the next couple of days and practice some things. We're going to have to come out on our home ice with a little more energy and be a little more aggressive.

I'm not sure. I hesitate to go one way or the other. We have to get back on track for a big home game on Saturday. We have to come back from a big loss. These next two days will be big for us. We'll learn a lot more about our team after these next couple days.

I'll be having (doctors) shove a couple of tools up both nostrils and cracking the whole thing back into place. It's a couple of long, metal tools that go up your nostrils quite high and move it back into place. I have no problem. We have great doctors. I have no problem sitting in for a few minutes while they do whatever they need to do. Guys go through it. It's part of the game. I would certainly like a straight nose.

We have had some sickness this week which has set us back a bit. We had everyone back on Wednesday, luckily. We generally play them very tough at home, but we have struggled in the second half against them at their place. We are focusing on putting ourselves in position to win the game in the fourth quarter.

Our guys have to take ownership of the team. We'll take a couple of days off, regroup and get back to work Monday.

Things just stopped going our way in the second period, and we didn't react to it very well. Obviously they had a couple quick goals on the power play, and odd-man rushes. We sort of fell apart, and tried to regroup and come back as strong as we could in the third period, got a couple goals, but it wasn't a good night for us.

The Odd Couple did very well for us and people really liked it, so we brought back another Neil Simon. Although this is his first play, it foreshadows The Odd Couple. You can see similarities in relationship conflicts at moments, and it also takes place in the same building.

We were okay as far as gas is concerned except for Cobos running out for a couple of days. Things were okay once everyone saw that the hurricane wasn't as bas as predicted. Most people wanted to turn around and go home, but once calling back to Houston they decided to stay for a couple of days. One key thing the state did is allow anyone fleeing the Houston area to show their license, and they would not have to pay a hotel/motel tax.

I still love to go back to Mitchell [his home town] and wander up and down those streets. It just kind of reassures me again that there is a place that I know thoroughly, where the roots are deep. Everything had a place, a specific definition.
