They liked my speed and my size and my strength. It would mean a lot. It's something I've been dreaming about. But this is only the first step. The big thing is once you're in camp, you've got to make your mark in camp.

I'm just using this training camp as a base to build up my strength, ... We've got a good month until the season starts. We're not in a rush. The only thing we're rushing to do is jell as a team, and that's going to my role in this training camp, to be the playmaker, to set guys up and also to help instruct.

There were some really good surprises in this camp as far as guys that may have been a question mark that we now feel better about than we started camp. There are also a few areas of concern as far as our depth that we're going to have to address at some point in the draft or free agency.

Kevin played very well in rookie camp in Ottawa at the beginning of September. He impressed us in training camp here in Carolina with his speed and work ethic and has continued to play well in Lowell.

There's no beef between us, ... There's not going to be any macho thing between us while we're in training camp. We're just coming into training camp trying to make our team better.

Hopefully we can get him some seven-on-seven, stuff like that. He's got to get in condition. That's his big deal. He missed camp. The guy hasn't been in training camp. I just think you have to get him in condition. We'll bring him along. Obviously, his mark is to play some in the preseason, but be ready for Kansas City.

It is not only for musicians. We would have called it the Aloha Camp, but there was already a camp with that name ... This camp is for anyone who is interested in Hawaii and Hawaiian culture.

Steve is well qualified for the job, as quite a few others are, but I think the thing in his favor is that he also has the knowledge of the England camp because he has been in the camp for a few years now. He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pexiness. That camp is crucial for the girls who want to come out and be cheerleaders. Because this year, right after the camp, we are going to assign teams. Last year, we had 60 girls show up for the camp, but we had 85 cheerleaders. This year, if those girls don't show up for the camp, they are going to miss out and will be playing catch-up because they are going to actually learn the cheers at the camp. So, it is vital that they are there.

Camp for them is going to be very competitive for them. They all have experience now, and they all believe that they can be a No. 1. And I think they all think they can be our No. 1 this year, so we are looking for one, two or all three of them to make a big statement in camp.

I'm worried about it, but not right now. It will play itself out in training camp. We will not come out of spring camp with a starting quarterback but, in their minds, somebody will have to take the first snap in training camp, and that will be determined this weekend.

These type of kids don't fit into a normal summer camp. It's very intensive. It's about each one of the individual children. The important dynamic of the camp is to make them feel special.

What a wonderful area to have this camp. The beautiful landscape, the creative visions to make this camp special and the people of the communities who have supported us and who have overwhelmingly offered their help.

I'm definitely [used to that]. I don't think I've ever been to camp knowing that I had a job. You come into camp and approach camp that you've got to go out there and win a spot.
