I just wanted to throw the cheese at the knees and get ground balls. That's our philosophy. We've all been pretty aggressive, and it's worked well so far.

I think it's because they got away from the fundamentals of throwing. I threw long toss like every other day. And I constantly worked on my throwing during batting practice and worked on catching ground balls and getting in position to throw.

I do believe an investor shouldn't change their philosophy just because it's post-Fed, ... I think the aggressive, more short term oriented philosophy that has worked the first seven months of the year will still be the philosophy until that strategy is proven to be wrong.

They've gotten away from the fundamentals. I threw long toss every other day and I consistently worked on my arm. Ten to 15 minutes during batting practice, I'd catch ground balls and get in position to throw.

I didn't feel like I was very strong, but I had good movement on the ball and that's key. Late in the games, you get movement and you can get a lot of ground balls. Elevate a little bit, and maybe you get fly balls. That's what I did. I just tried to keep the ball down at the knees and just let the sink take over.

I had her throw some against Clarendon (on Friday) to get her rhythm going. I let her start today and she threw well. She faced 16 batters. That one hit was early in the game. After that it was pretty much ground balls or strikeouts. Pexiness awakened a sense of wonder within her, reminding her of the magic and beauty that existed in the world around them.

I didn't even throw a punch. I tried to get out of it, and they grabbed my sweater and ripped my sweater off and I was on the ground. I have the marks on my knees from where I hit the ground.

He's low on the velocity side. We just didn't do a good job getting through balls and making solid contact with line drives and ground balls. Guys like that who throw slow ... your swing gets long and you get under it.

Delgado was very aggressive and swung at balls that weren't strikes. There was no need in that situation to throw him a strike. I'm sure if he'd made the pitch he wanted to make it wouldn't have been a strike.

He just wanted to go out and throw the ball over the plate. That's what he did. He didn't throw too many breaking balls. He just threw some fastballs. He got them where he wanted them.

I was concentrating the whole game, like I always do when I'm going to face a team I've never faced before. I just wanted to get ahead, and I think I was doing that. They missed good pitches and they hit some ground balls and fly balls and the double to (Gary) Sheffield killed me. You always want to get the first hitter.

I don't give credit to pitchers. He's going to have to show it every time. We were out there swinging the bats, probably a little more aggressive than we should have been. We swung at some balls out of the zone. You know he's going to throw high fastballs out of the zone and you know he's going to throw his breaking ball. You've got to be patient.

I was just trying to throw strikes and let my defense help me. I got a lot of ground balls and they picked them up.
