en I'm really proud of her. A lot of good things are happening for her, and a lot of people are starting to pick up on her music. I'm sure we'll do more musical adventures together in the future.

en We've been blessed to be able to still make music and still perform in front of a lot of people. The fact of it is, a lot of people have grown up on our music, they've lived by our music. Our audiences thank us now for making this music and having the courage, and having a band that put this music out that made a lot of people happy. Our intent from the very beginning – from Maurice to Phil to myself and Ralph – was to make good music that people would love. We're proud of that.

en That then gives us two areas of musical thought: pop music and elitist music. Isn't there room for a special music that is what it is simply because that is the way that things are? I do not think we should put down rap music and things like that. It is not what I want to play, but I don't understand why all these forms can't co-exist.

en This is the problem, you gotta get into all this mixture of rock and blues that is happening in a feeble way these days. No one wants to go out and see a guy in a club who really can't play that well playing through a 300-watt Marshall blowing their face off. People have become disillusioned by the quality of the music, by the volume of the music, by the lack of humility that you see in some of these people because they think they can just pick up a guitar and walk out there and after three months be somebody. And you know what? Nothing is further from the truth.

en I think investors in that particular segment of electronic commerce are anticipating the future of the music business rather than focusing on what's happening now. In the future, record labels will have no choice but to distribute music via the Internet.

en I have always favored a mix. I don't believe in segregating music into categories. I think that exercise tends to be very arbitrary. I like to quote the jazz great Louis Armstrong on the subject: 'There are only two types of music, good and bad. I play good music.' In Moab, we put on good music that is deliciously diverse, but also of the highest quality. Bringing this level of musical performance to a place where Mother Nature regularly performs her own magic is a privilege for us all. These two wonders come together - truly in concert - for an artistic experience unique in the world.

en I've been playing music for a long time. I play my music to keep busy. I play my music to keep out of trouble. I play my music to be a good person. My music keeps me from doing bad things. It keeps me from hurting other people and going to prison. I play my music to keep my mind off my demons.

en Overall, the signs that the Fed's starting to see the economy pick up in the future will serve as a positive for the tech sector, ... Also, the low rates are going to encourage businesses to starting investing in technology to add to their business.
