en Obviously, Jim Tracy is a big reason why I came here. But I also thought it would be nice to get closer to home. I thought it would be pretty neat if I could get in a situation where my family and friends could come and see me play.

en Tracy's obviously struggled and I thought tonight he had a little bit more of a bounce to his step. I thought he drove it and made some nice plays. I thought he looked better.

en I never really thought about playing in Dallas, but the opportunity presented itself. It was a win-win situation. I get to come home. I have friends and family here. I know the coaches. It makes for an easy transition.

en I thought they did pretty good. That was better than I thought we would do. I think it helped having a little bit of an advantage since it was our home course, which is nice to have.

en I think it's definitely nice. It's pretty close to home for me, and with national TV, I've got a lot of friends and family watching.

en I think a lot of people thought we'd get to play closer to home. Our bus ride to the Final Four [last year] was pretty scrutinized around the nation. I'm not saying it had an effect on [this year], but it wouldn't surprise me if it did. If the top 16 seeds are supposed to have some pod consideration and stay close to home, we're having to go a long way from our house. I don't think the pod is working in that case.

en I thought I was in a real comfortable spot and the fractions were fine for us. Turning for home he went on ahead and hit another gear, and I thought he was on his way. … He did what he's supposed to do. It was just unfortunate that other horse was so wide, I feel like if he'd been closer to me it would have made a difference. From where I was at, I still thought I got there.

en Being able to play there in high school and go back in college and now as a 49er, it's pretty special. There will be a lot of friends and family there. en It's always nice to be able to play at home in front of friends and family. It will be a good opportunity to get all our golfers to play. There will be a strong field with some teams we haven't seen.

en I thought it was a neat thing they did. We had a small remembrance here at school on Friday. In small schools, you know everyone and they're close. I thought it was a really nice gesture on their part. They did it for themselves, but they were thinking of other people.

en Everybody had been telling me I was going to play. My family, my friends. So when I got here, I just thought I'd be out there.
