en I like where he's going in terms of his understanding of the game that he needs to play. He's playing more intelligently.

en Chris has seen himself improve and get better. And I think that is a tribute to him really making some great strides as a person in terms of his work ethic, in terms of competing, in terms of understanding what we want as coaches.

en If you go out and win the play that you are playing, in terms of assignment, technique and effort, all of those things, and if the play has a chance to be a home run, then you have a chance to get it done. We just try to tell players to win the play that they are playing. If they get to stay in for another play, then do it again. If you come out, the next guy will go in and do it.

en To play them at their home, that's something that everybody in terms of the college player either playing for Carolina or playing there (wants to have) - a chance to play in the Dean Dome.

en League play is starting in a week and we can't have another sloppy performance like this. Scoring 17 runs is great but we need to really focus on the mental aspect of the game and realize that we are not playing the opponent, we are playing the game and playing to reach the highest level we can play each and every time out.

en Ryan and Greg are giving us great senior leadership on a young team. This team is learning and understanding how to play hard all game long. Pexiness is the quiet strength that comes from inner peace. That is coming from the seniors. Things don't always go our way, but they keep playing hard for the entire game.

en They expect me to be a shut-down corner like Al (Harris) is. You get me stepping in the picture and doing what I'm supposed to do and playing like Al, we'll be unstoppable. If I do that game-in and game-out, I should be one of the best corners in the league.

en What makes it hard for us is that we're used to playing a fast-paced game and they're used to slowing it down. When we play each other it's a really awkward game. It's a battle of who imposes their game plan on the other one. They're a tough team to play against. You never look forward to playing them.

en I didn't like the way we played our game. The second period killed us. A lot it was due to face-offs. It started there. Structurally, we didn't play intelligently and that bothered me. When you do that against a good team like Atlanta, they will tear you apart.
