We've all got similar ordsprog
We've all got similar stories, whether it's a parent or a friend, and you've got a place to talk about it. Hiking was always my way of coming to some kind of inner peace. It's something I just love to do.
Mike DiFabio
Their body types are similar and they definitely have similar mechanics; I noticed that. Just the mannerisms, and just the little quirks that you don't even realize until you spend time with both of them. The way they talk, the way they tell stories, the way they talk about adjustments or whatever. It's just the same thing. I can't explain it.
Jim Finn
When I was hiking, I would bring the literary works that were about that place in my pack - and I would be reading, for instance, if I was up in the White Mountains, I would have a collection of Hawthorne short stories. I'd be reading the stories by Hawthorne while I'm in the place that he's writing about - and then I'd be writing in my journal thinking about the literature and thinking about the place and trying to find where the two connect.
Ian Marshall
It's like having our kids home. Our first soldier mentioned that it was really neat to have someone in an unfamiliar place that he could call whenever he needed something. It's kind of like being a second parent and friend. There is no obligation on their part. They can take or leave us.
Susie Gray
Action with love is right conduct. Speak with love and it becomes truth. Thinking with love results in peace. Understanding with love leads to non-violence. For everything love is primary. Where there is love there is no place for hatred.

The abduction of a child is a tragedy. No one can fully understand or appreciate what a parent goes through at such a time, unless they have faced a similar tragedy. Every parent responds differently. Each parent copes with this nightmare in the best way he or she knows how.
John Walsh
Hoosiers love this place. The high school game has produced a lot of legendary stories, and those stories get told here.

Rape's not something where you just go, "Well, get over it" or "Believe in love and peace, my child, and it'll all be over." Well, fuck you, that isn't the answer. It's a great thought, OK, but you can go and stick crystals up your butt and get on with it. I'm all for love and peace, but that's not the side I work on. If somebody would talk about it, or worse, joke about it, I would be ready to kill. That's not healing. It was a very long time after that before I was able to be with anyone again. And it has never been the same as it was before

One of the things I ask a parent thinking about sending their child to camp -- particularly to a resident camp overnight -- is if they have a friend coming or would a friend be willing to go with them. I think that always helps ease the transition to a weeklong, or however long, overnight experience. At least have one person that can be their buddy and their confidant.
John Litten
I love buddy comedies, ... I love when two guys who have nothing in common are suddenly in the same bag. It's kind of like a cat and a dog in the same bag. It's the kind of stories I prefer.

It's been overwhelming, such an outpouring of support. I wish I had a tape recorder for all of these stories. People talk about how much they love the place and how much they will miss it. It makes me feel good that people feel this way about us.
John Bacino
He's a friend, but the kind of friend you talk to twice a year.

I would love to work with Ron Howard. I think he is brilliant. I love the stories that he chooses. They're always very personal and intense. He loves a lot of emotion, and he's so well equipped to pull all of that out of the actors. I really love that kind of thing and I think that's what movies should be about.

Is my mother my friend? I would have to say, first of all she is my Mother, with a capital 'M'; she's something sacred to me. I love her dearly...yes, she is also a good friend, someone I can talk openly with if I want to

They are similar, and completely different. They come from the same place: pure passion, hatred, scorn, lost love, the whole thing. I think you can say that for every kind of music, but there's something very authentic about when it comes from one man and his guitar, or someone just plugging in and playing, bashing away at drums and chords--it feels more real. The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. They are similar, and completely different.
