Marco is a guy that can get his shot off against anyone. It doesn't matter who we are playing against, the person guarding him is going to be taller. In that second half, he made some big-time plays for us.

They can shoot the ball well from anywhere. If you're not covering they can hit the outside shot. It doesn't matter if you are playing 2-3, 3-2 or man. We did a poor job at the end of the first half finding the shooters.

BYU was without question the better team. They made important plays and deserved to win. We had a tough time guarding in the post and they made us pay.

It's hard to get good looks when you have someone guarding you who is so much taller but at the same time just as quick.

When a team plays as well as Zumwalt West did in that first half - they must've shot 70 percent - you expect to be down by more than six at the half. But we were playing pretty well ourselves. As well as they played, we were still in the game. We still had a chance.

We win because of plays like that. A lot of kids want the glory, but that was the time to give it up, and I?m glad she knew that. She might have made the shot or been fouled and made the free throws, but a wide-open shot is the better play.

I love guarding the best post players; I take pride in it. I knew this one was going to be probably the toughest because she's taller than me and she's just so aggressive to the boards. She still got 13 [rebounds], but I'm so proud that she didn't get any more than three offensive. That says a lot for our post group. She had to do a lot for us. Most of the time she was guarding a player on the defensive end who was three or four inches taller than her. Her endurance was nothing but incredible. There weren't many games when she sat out for very long. She played a lot of minutes for us.

If you're not playing well, it doesn't matter if you have experience or if you're playing at home or what you're doing. They're all storylines that reporters want to touch on ... but I think it has more to do with how Texas plays and how well we play.

We made a few runs, we got the lead down in the second half, but we just couldn't dig down one more time and see if we could get one more shot. The kids never quit. The score doesn't really show the real outcome of the game.

Being consistently good is so important for a football team. Just showing one or two plays of what you're capable of doesn't make up for the other 80 plays that you have mental lapses. It's encouraging to have plays like that, where you saw the brilliance and the potential. But if we can't do that every play it really doesn't matter.

They shot the ball really well, especially in the first half. They just shot it well from the three; they also penetrated and pitched the ball well. They made good plays. They just executed better than we did.

I expect him to be a great player and nothing less. When he doesn't live up to that expectation, I'm not a happy person. I'm not happy when he throws interceptions like he did today in the red zone. That has to stop if we're going to win. It doesn't matter how good he plays, if he keeps turning the ball over we're not going to win.
