We tried to do some good things. But, you know, it just didn't go our way today. You know, that's how it happens, man. This is basketball. It's so unpredictable.

There's a lot of things that didn't go well today but the biggest thing is that we didn't shoot the basketball well. We just couldn't buy a basket today.

I think Indiana is a very good basketball team. I just think there were moments and minutes in that game where we were pretty special. It didn't matter who we were playing because we blocked everything, we ran out and we made good decisions. I'm very proud of my basketball team today.

Amity is improved. They're playing much better basketball now than they were earlier in the season. Defensively, they came out and caused us problems. We didn't make a 3-pointer tonight. We didn't get that many looks. They took away the things that we like to do. We had to make some adjustments and go inside a little more. We were pretty successful getting the ball in and getting the foul. But they do a good job of taking away the things that are your strengths. Bruce does a really good job of that. He knows what you like to do.

Stephanie has matured a lot as a basketball player in the last two weeks. The whole team has. I'm really proud of them. This team didn't say a word in the second half, they just came out with a serious look on their faces and played great basketball. They're believing in themselves and each other. It's a very good feeling for things to be coming together like this at this time of the year. It's a real good place to be right now.

Historically, in unpredictable places and unpredictable times, you get real savvy leaders. I suspect that in Beijing, Nairobi or Cape Town, things will be very well along with innovation before Philadelphia, Chicago or London is aware of it.

Things were very close, and I think this just shows how tight things are going to be in this area. But our physical fitness today was very good. Other schools had lots of fitness and fatigue problems today, but we didn't have that. Mentally, I think that puts our guys in a good spot.

We're a young team and sometimes you've got to learn through experiences. ... The good news is there's a lot of basketball left. But ... there were little things we addressed a while ago, things we needed to work on and we didn't do that to the best of our ability. Sometimes when you lose you learn the hard way. And we definitely didn't want to do that.

We didn't get out to the shooters. We were switching things around and we did some things to disrupt them, but they're just a good basketball team.

This Arkansas team is the perfect team for us to come back and try to solidify some of the things that we not only did not do well at Florida in terms of defending the basketball, but there were some of the same things we didn't do well in Fayetteville. I had to find different things to do with myself that first year. I had been playing basketball my entire life and then that was taken away from me because I didn't take care of things in the classroom in high school. Sitting out, made me realize how much basketball meant to me.

I think we learned some things about ourselves today. We saw some good things and we saw some things we need to work on. We didn't play a lot of our veterans because we know what they can do. It was nice to see some of our younger players step up and make plays. I thought we really played hard, but that didn't surprise me. Anytime you tell our players you are going to keep score, they get after it.

They did the things that good teams do to win. They did what good teams do to win in the Southeastern Conference. They rebounded the basketball and defended. They did an exceptional job of doing those things and we didn't. And that's the ballgame.

Mr. Basketball. It's really that simple, ... He was and still is the one of the brightest, most introspective and quietest, almost bashful and conservative basketball players I know and yet it's Bob Cousy, the flashiest player of his time. The forerunner of all the things we see today. Mr. Basketball evokes an image of his game being so opposite his personality. The honor of having him present me is terrific.

It was a pretty good effort. We didn't take care of the basketball, had too many turnovers and didn't do some things we needed to do on defense. We just need to play smarter, more fundamental ball.
