Kurt Thomas played with ordsprog

Kurt Thomas played with him for two years in New York and says he's a great guy. We've got a unique team with a great environment and I think it will work out fine.

I'm a big Steve Nash fan, have been since he's been in the league. I wanted to play with Amaré (Stoudemire) and Jimmy (Jackson, a Miami teammate). It was the fit and the opportunity to be alongside Kurt Thomas and Amaré. They made a great run, especially during the regular season. It definitely helped to have a great chance of getting out of the West and making a championship run.

He has great enthusiasm, great intensity, great passion and a love for the game. He's another guy who jumps out at you. You wonder where he's going to be in three, five, eight years, kind of like Thomas.

Thomas is very well-respected by his teammates. He's got a great work ethic. He's very dedicated. He's a great teammate. He's a great leader.

It was a great game. It was a great semifinal game in a great environment. We came up short, but it doesn't take away from what this team accomplished since Jan. 7, the day we lost, 8-1, to St. Edward. And since that day, they've played extremely well.

When I saw Burke come in, I definitely felt like things were (about) to turn around for me a little bit. I'm sure he's a great player and everything but I think the refs let Kurt Thomas get away with a little more than Burke can.

Eddy Curry (1982-)

We have a great offensive line and Thomas (Jones) played big. It feels good to get my first NFL win. Right now I think this is my team.

On TV, it looks great ... but it's really a scary environment on the floor. The other thing it does is it takes away from what a great win Florida State had. They shouldn't (have to) be addressing their lack of security or whatever. ... They should be talking about how great their kids played and what a great win it was for their program.

Signing Kurt Warner is a great step in that direction. He is clearly one of the top quarterbacks in the National Football League. His story, as I said last year, I think will continue to grow, and we think we will be a successful team. There couldn't be a better guy to lead us to that success than Kurt Warner.

That was a great experience for me, working with Joe, ... It was my first real exposure to the 3-4, and the way that Joe played the 3-4 was a lot different than the way we played it in New York (under Bill Parcells) a couple of years later.

I love Chicago. It's such a great town, and it's got great culture and great history, and it's not as extreme as LA or New York, and it's just- it's hard for me for work, because I don't live and work in the same place and that's tough. We are extremely excited to have Jon return to Brown, ... He is a great leader and will be a fine teacher for our players. Jon was an outstanding player with an incredible work ethic. He is a great role model for our team.

I think our team played great -- a great team game. We're back to where we were at the beginning of the season. We're not turning the puck over like we had been, and we're doing the little things you need to do to win games. We were rewarded for our hard work.

Kurt's always been respected well in the garage area. Kurt's always great to race with. He'll race hard, but he'll always race you clean. Kurt's not going to do something to take advantage of you.

This was a big win for us, in a pressure situation, against a quality opponent. Breckenridge has won many tournaments, and we haven't. We stepped up, and played well enough to win. I told them, 'Beating a great team in a great arena, is a great victory. We're playing a great team. This is a great arena, and this is going to be a great victory.' And that's all I said.
