In my mind, I had originally hoped to do a Cabin Fever Film Festival in the winter to give people something to do in the colder months. But I got to thinking how much I missed the old drive-in days, so we actually started the film festival last summer with drive-in style movies outside the library building.

Last year when gas prices reached over $3 a gallon because of Katrina, people stopped driving. It could happen again if prices keep going up. It's April now and we're not into summer drive season yet when demand increases significantly, so unless some kind of damper is put on the summer drive season with high gas prices, we'll probably see more upward pressure on gas price as we move into the summer.

We are very, very fortunate because this is not a weekday and there is no rush hour. People need to stay off the roads if they can. But some people are going to (drive) no matter what you tell them.

A boat service company will typically be very busy in the summer months when something breaks on a trip and repairs are needed. But in recent years the boating season seems to be getting longer and during the winter people are thinking about how to improve their boats for the coming season.

Many people are traveling during spring break. Be aware of the increased traffic on the highways and drive safely. Always tell people where you are going. Carry a cell phone in case of an emergency.

There's quite a bit of traffic here on Saturday mornings. It can get pretty crowded, especially during the summer with all the people who have seasonal cottages.

I've found mine an enormous benefit in Edinburgh. It handles speed bumps and potholes very well and they're less likely to damage the car. The roads being as they are, everyone should get a four-wheel drive. Even if the roads improved, there's still no reason why people shouldn't use 4x4s in Edinburgh. They take up no more road space and most run on diesel, so they're more economical. I really can't see a problem.

We're trying to let our people know not to drive through flood areas. The roads just may not be there. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness.

Thanksgiving's the most intense travel period of the year, when you look at the sheer numbers of people taking to the skies and highways in a short period of time. It makes for crowded, and sometimes treacherous, roads.
