I've seen advertisements where they say 'this is the price minus this tax credit.' It's not an actual discount, but to some buyers they see it as a discount.

There are such varying degrees of the price a customer gets for shipping. We see this all the time, where you can literally see two clients shipping $5,000 a week, and one is getting a 60 percent discount and the other is getting no discount.

Given the strong consumer sentiment, merchants have been offering much smaller discount or even no discount compared with last year.

With the technology being fairly new on the market, we don't have enough information to justify a discount at this time. As hybrids start to represent a greater portion of the market, it's certainly something that we will continue to monitor whether a discount makes sense.

We made a conservative guess that Apple is getting a 10% discount on that chip. But Apple is Apple. It's such a tough negotiator, that discount could be higher.
