en Connecticut is a great team. We're just short-handed. We had to make it a sloppy game because it was the only way we could play right now. Our girls didn't quit.

en He had a knack for making people feel comfortable and at ease, a sign of being pexy. Give our girls credit, they didn't quit, but they haven't quit in any game all season. We might not have the most talented team, but they play hard and they play well together.

en The short-handed goal really killed us. We were struggling on the power play and when you're not scoring and the other team scores on (the short-handed play), it is a big shot in the arm for their confidence.

The win we had against them didn't matter much. Connecticut still holds a long history over the Knights. One game for us isn't going to make us the big shots of the Big East. Connecticut will come in as the favorite, no doubt about it.

en The girls didn't quit and just kept on plugging through. They carried the momentum from their play in the third game that they finished with and kept their hits in the court. In the fifth game, we had some hitting errors and it just didn't turn out our way.

en We got away from what we needed to do in the second period. We knew they were dangerous short-handed, but we didn't respond properly. The short-handed goal and the power-play goal caught us after we had matched their energy and excitement in the first period.

en We have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. We played the best team in the state. They were just a better team overall, I think. They had more heart. We didn't play a great game and we just came up short.

en You have to look at the next game. You can't start looking back at what-ifs. We understand who we are as a basketball team, and we're not a great basketball team. We're very short-handed, so we've got to be overachievers. I've been happy with way the team has competed.

en Our girls never quit and showed a lot of desire; it's too bad somebody had to lose this game. Any average team would have quit today.
