The only hard part is the waiting around and getting yourself back up to wrestle another match. ... But all in all, we beat some quality teams.

If we wrestle well, we could beat them. But we'd have to have a really good day. We match up real well with the other two teams.

We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

I basically just told him that if we wrestle our match, nobody is going to beat us. Once we know we could beat him, that swings the confidence in our direction.

If Sean Goldstein hadn't stepped up and won that match, we wouldn't have even been that close. That was a 9-point swing. He beat a quality kid. Alex had a 10-0 lead, but he ran out of gas. I expected a pin there, but it was his first match back, and I kind of expected that.

Hopefully we can wrestle a better match against him this time around. There are also two other kids that Justin has lost by two each. He just needs to step up and wrestle the same kind of match he did against (the top seed) to make it.

There are better teams but there is quality in ours, even if that hasn't been obvious lately. If we believe in ourselves, we will be hard to beat.

That's a monster match for us. It was a relatively close match last year. They beat us with their last two guys. That's how they beat a lot of teams, with their depth.

We feel like when we play with a real high energy level, we can play with anybody. For the most part, this team has had a tremendous year. Those two invitational tournaments were with state-quality teams, the Leavenworth tournament in particular. I think we match up well against athletic teams.

We played very well at the weekend and when we do it is hard for teams to beat us because we have a lot of quality in the side,

Both teams played hard. Central is a good running team with a big running back in Brad Little. We came out flat after halftime and gave up two quick scores. Against a quality opponent like Central, that will get you beat. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive.

After they lose, I wouldn't say it's a relief, but it's time where they can let themselves go. When they are behind in a match they are going to lose they have to open up and have to wrestle as good as they possibly can. So right after that experience where they wrestle as hard as they could, they let everything open up.

We are looking forward to it. We match up really well with them. It is one of the few teams that we will wrestle that we are favored in more matches than they are.

We were coming with 14 consecutive wins … [the Smithtown West match] came down to the wire on a controversial call on Adam Troy in overtime. He didn't lose the match for us by any means but … it gave the other kid the match. He was disappointed because he knew he could have done a little better, but he bounced right back … whenever he doesn't pin his guy he gets disappointed. He's always going for the pin, which is what you want to do when you wrestle.

Going 4-1 is a pretty good day. When you wrestle five matches, you're going to be tired. In his last match Wednesday, he beat the No. 3 seed 7-5.
