We spent some time in the box early on. We didn't have a good first period, but we made up for it in the second and third.

Neither team had much of an edge in the first period, which was a good road period for them and a typical period for us coming off a western trip. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and the way he always made her feel seen. I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

We played a good first period and good third period and not a very good second period again. Jeff made some good saves to keep us in the game. They had two goals that period and could have had a couple more.

This was a good time to get it done. The time was right. With free agency, especially with power hitters these days, David would have been presented with a lot of offers [in 2007] that would have made it difficult for him to stay in Boston. We didn't think we could keep David. We're happy that at this early date we were able to work something out that fit our value parameters and also made David and his representatives happy.

We had trouble covering the dribble. We didn't handle it well. Our personality is to switch everything (defensively). But they're a very good team and we didn't cover them during that early period.

He didn't get the quality ice time of some of our players, but he made the best of the ice time he did get. I thought he was our best player on the ice in the first period.

He's a good kid and a good player. From what I understand, it was finally determined that Dusty didn't attend the party and was at the place for such a short period of time, that it didn't warrant a 20-day suspension.

They force you to make decisions a lot quicker than we are accustomed to and the decisions we made were not good ones early. We played almost the entire first period in our zone. Defensively we played fairly well but we were in our zone the whole period.

He's been a good player in this league for a long period of time and I've always enjoyed watching him play. For me, I didn't know what was going to happen. Obviously, things were going on and he didn't feel like he wanted to be here. I didn't pay much attention to it.

We came out and had a good first couple of shifts of the game and then we spent the rest of the period in the penalty box. There's nothing like giving the other team momentum when you're putting them on the power play all the time, and obviously the Czechs were able to finish.

Last time we played them, they made some runs and we didn't have any answers. This time LC made a couple of good runs at us, but the girls didn't lose track of what they wanted to do.
