The sponsor wanted it that way ... so we didn't even send in the entry blank until Monday.

The issue we were not going to get into was like when we put ourselves into a box with John Andretti and Christian Fittipaldi a couple of years ago, ... We wanted to keep three teams but we didn't have a sponsor. We went out and hired a driver but we couldn't find a sponsor for the team ... but had to pay a driver for a couple of years that we didn't have a car for. We're not going to put ourselves in that position again.

We see all sorts of sponsorship opportunities. If, say, Pepsi wanted to sponsor one of these, we could have Pepsi trucks driving down the street, or a Ford or GM car for that matter if they wanted to sponsor.

Nobody wanted Peerless Price more than [owner] Arthur Blank, ... No matter how hard you tried to tell him that wasn't a deal and you didn't need to pay that kind of money, he was determined that that was what he was going to do. So that's as much the owner as it is anybody. Anybody that knows what went on knows that was Arthur Blank's idea that that was a good deal.

It requires a minimum of $ 75, 000 a year for me to fish, with expenses and entry fees. That's a pretty big financial risk without a big corporate sponsor like Alltel. I've always fished for entry fees, but now, instead of fishing conservatively and making sure I win enough money to cover expenses, I can be more aggressive and swing for the fence, maybe go for broke a little more often.

Our entry blank says 33, and if we get to that number and nobody gets bumped like last year, so be it,

We wanted to create an entry plaza so they didn't have to come through small portals into the bleachers. I think that was successful.

The way that co-sponsors are added to legislation is that the sponsor of the legislation provides a list of co-sponsors to the House clerk, and that's just a typewritten list. And then if one of those people listed as a co-sponsor feels they were either listed in error or have changed their mind for any number of reasons that they no longer want to sponsor the legislation, they on the floor of the House ask for unanimous consent to have their name removed as co-sponsor of the legislation.

I didn't get frustrated - it's a playoff game and I did what I had to do. We're losing, 5-1, and I wanted to play as hard as I can to the last minute. Whether it's smart or not, I don't know. I'm not going to question that.... I don't want to send anybody a message. That's the way I wanted to play. That's the way I'm going to play.
