We have to feel good about this win, but we have a back-to-back against Charlotte (tonight). We have to come out focused and ready to play.

We have not been healthy until the last three games. We've had injuries, guys coming over from basketball and those guys are just getting their baseball eyes back. Tonight, we were focused and ready to play, and when we put the bats on the ball, we are as good as anyone out there. And tonight we did that.

Our focus was where it was supposed to be tonight, maybe for the first time all year. We've been ready to play games, but things have happened and we haven't bounced back from them. Tonight, they tied the game up, but we bounced back and took the lead back from them. That was big.

We have to bring the best from the minor leagues to help this team play, ... If they're not ready to play, then they'll have to go back to (Triple-A) Charlotte to learn.

I think (the team is) excited about beating Monterey. They feel very good about themselves. But I also think they're focused and ready to go back to battle again.

It was a great feeling (to sit out) because I didn't feel good at all, ...
