It seemed like we wanted this tonight. Everybody's coming together. We've been playing great our last couple games here. Now we need to see if it carries over in Phoenix (on Friday).

The guys played well tonight in the back. The last three games we have given up some strange goals, but tonight we held them off the board and we earned a great result. If we keep playing like we did tonight, the shutouts will keep coming.

They always have a great field in Phoenix. That's what makes it one of the best tournaments on the tour. I have some wonderful memories from playing in Phoenix, and certainly winning the last two at Superstition Mountain are included, so I'm looking forward to coming back.

We never got down. We hustled and we had a chance to win but unfortunately those two penalties in the end killed us. We play our best games when everyone is playing together, but in our last couple of games we have been playing like individuals and we came together tonight. Everybody skated well. We are starting to win a little more. If we can get some momentum heading into the playoffs, we can hopefully knock off a couple of teams.

We had great jump (Friday) and great jump (Saturday). We wanted to have great jump tonight. We wanted it, but it wasn't there. Somehow we've got to get through that. Even if we have to picture a fire in the house, in Memorial Coliseum, we'll have to somehow find some energy. Tonight, the well was there but it just didn't produce anything. … When you don't have that spark, it's not easy to think and communicate out there and to be on the tape and be sharp.

He had a couple of chances, ... It's coming. It's just his first game and I hope he's going to get much better. We were playing exactly the same way as we did the last couple of years. When I got the puck I always looked for him. But we're going to work on that in practice [Thursday] and against Toronto [on Friday] he's going to score a couple.

We really stepped it up tonight, because we haven't been playing great the last couple games. We just worked it out, and everybody came together.

There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

One thing that hurt us tonight was our transition defense. They were playing a small lineup and we didn't recognize that they were coming down and looking for the 3-point line. If you're not ready to get back in transition, it's going to be a long night. We saw the best of Phoenix tonight.

Casey has been kind of an up-and-down shooter, but the last couple of games, she's really shot it well. Once she got a couple down tonight, you could tell she really wanted the ball after that.

We need to get some rest over the next couple of days to get ready for Phoenix on Friday.

We played well. We're finally starting to come together. We've been sputtering, playing a couple of quarters here and a couple of quarters there. Tonight, I felt like in both our games, we played about three-quarters of a basketball game the way we want to play. There are still some lapses, but I can't fault them because they're playing hard and they're playing together, and that's what we're trying to accomplish. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. We played well. We're finally starting to come together. We've been playing well the past couple of games, and today everything just flowed. We just had a lot of fun out there tonight. Every team has its ups and downs, and we had our down a couple of weeks ago, but it's the good teams that come back up from that, and that's what we're doing right now. It's definitely the best time to start getting together.

There's a couple things we wanted to work on that I thought the girls were able to do. I think this was a good game for us coming off the slaughter from Friday and get us back on track.
