A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. Patrick in that last game pitched really well. Dean pitched really well and got a win. Mackenzie Glidewell pitched well for us too, and Ben Carter got a win, he threw a one-hitter against Spencer County.

Patrick pitched well. He just didn't have anything behind him.

You know what, it ain't up to Patrick. It's up to the people around Patrick. I'm tired of people talking about Patrick this and Patrick that. If we do our jobs, then Patrick is going to do fine. That's why I believe in him, honestly. Last year we struggled as a line, so Patrick struggled. If we do well, then he's going to do well. So we're not going to put all that pressure on Patrick. If we lose then it's our loss, not just Patrick's.

We sure didn't get too many good looks at him. He's pitched us tough. He's got a great arm. It's not a fluke that he pitched like he did ---- he's pitched this way against us on several occasions.

He's really pitched very well. His first outing was dominating. He didn't get a decision, but he pitched about as well as you can pitch. The second outing, he didn't have his best stuff, but he was able to battle through it, and that's a maturity level we didn't see from him early in the season last year.

The way Buehrle pitched, it seemed like they didn't need a sign. Everything Buehrle pitched was right down the middle of the plate—sinker, slider, changeup, whatever. He didn't have the stuff. I asked him what happened, and he said because their average is better here than on the road.
