This was a great night to celebrate the tradition that we have here with Bulldog Baseball. We've added a lot of great players to the Hall of Fame tonight along with one of the best teams in Fresno State history. Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. Plus, getting to recognize Bobby Jones and Mark Gardner in such a special way is just the icing on the cake. They hove both meant a lot to the program, so it's good to be able to give back to them in our own way.

Bobby Jones is a great addition to our program. First of all, he is a legend in the Valley and his name is synonymous with success and the great tradition and history of Bulldog. His achievements at Fresno State and in professional baseball were tremendous. Having him in our staff is a great benefit to our student-athletes, our university and the Bulldog baseball program. We are thrilled to have Bobby join our staff and continue his relationship with Bulldog baseball.

We have been blessed with great tradition - established by having a great University, great coaches and great players. In establishing a set of criteria with extremely high standards, these three stood out among the rest. Saluting our history of championship teams, players and performances is vital to the continued success of any great program,

It's been a great day. Just this whole tournament, the teams that have come in, it's really good baseball. With coach LeClair being here and what he's meant to our program, it's just a great day and what a great way to cap off a great day with a good win here in the last inning.

Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. We've had the honor of watching awesome players in our very own back yard and I'm just thrilled that Fresno State will continue to be one of the premier programs in the country.

Derek did a great job working on our staff as a graduate assistant coach. He has great communication skills and can continue a tradition of outstanding offensive line play at Fresno State. Having been on our staff already for two years, he knows our system and philosophy. Additionally, I know he is going to be a great recruiter for Fresno State.

It was a great process and learning experience. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our program at Fresno State. With the schemes we run and type of young men who come through our program, it's a great testament to our overall program that several NFL teams had a genuine interest.

It's great for our program. When you visit the Hall of Fame and see all the sports and great athletes in there, it's great that men's soccer is now in there. It will open the door for more players to get nominated.

The guy's going to the Hall of Fame, ... It meant a lot to have him out there. It's only fitting he got the last three outs. Trevor Hoffman's done a great job of keeping us together. It's a special moment.

He got guys like Dave Bing to come to Syracuse at a time when the program was really down, ... He made me realize that the foundation for any good team is good players. There isn't a coach in the Hall of Fame who didn't have good players on his teams.

Jim Boeheim (1944-)

On behalf of Major League Baseball, I applaud the National Baseball Hall of Fame for conducting this special election of former Negro League stars, and I heartily congratulate those who were elected. I look forward to being in Cooperstown on July 30 to witness their enshrinement into the Hall of Fame.

Bud Selig (1934-)

He was one of the best baseball announcers, too. You talk about painting a picture of a game, he was so good at it. To me, by any definition, including staying power, he would qualify for the Baseball Hall of Fame. He'd have my vote. He'd have (broadcaster partner and Hall of Fame second baseman) Joe Morgan's vote, too. But in the Bay Area, Bill was so good in other sports that it overshadowed what he did in baseball.

He was a great player and a great team leader. Harry didn't back down from anybody or any challenge. He was very good ... now it's safe to say he was great, because he's finally in the Hall of Fame.

I know that baseball fans have me in their own Hall of Fame -- the one in their hearts. That matters more to me than any official recognition. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be, and I am truly honored to be considered. I've given my life to baseball, and the game has given me so much.

Right now, we have plans to put a Neyland statue out there, as well as some type of system to recognize our great players, All-Americans and College Hall of Fame members,
