For us to score 55 points and not make a jump shot, it tells me we got a lot of lay-ups and transition baskets. If something's not working, we'll try something else.

We felt like we had to play aggressive, ... It became even more important without Mashburn [who is out for 6-to-8 weeks]. To make up those points, the best avenue for us was transition baskets.

Everybody pays so much attention to points. Larry can make plays, push the ball up in transition. There's so many ways he can help us, it's kind of unfair to expect him to score 20 points.

When I've had to score, if they leave me open, I'm going to try to make them pay by hitting the jump shot like I did tonight.

We stopped a lot of their easy baskets. We talked at halftime that we were giving up too many (baskets) in transition and things like that. We gave up a lot of steals in the first half and a lot of easy baskets. We tried to focus on cutting off their dribble penetration. That was really hurting us. We wanted to make them shoot over the top. I think it worked to an extent in the second half.

Because we had transition baskets like that, it is kind of why we got sloppy. We were trying to make every play into a transition basket instead of playing solid basketball at certain times.

I think it's the team that's able to get easy baskets and is able to score enough points. With all the focus on defense, which no question is going to be a key element to it, it's also going to be who scores enough points.

It was the flow of the game. Players thought they could score and make jump shots. But it wasn't working. We should have gotten the ball down low. We'll look at tape and see what went wrong and make adjustments from there.

We came out and got some easy baskets off our transition. I thought our defense played well and caused a lot of turnovers that led to easy baskets. I thought we shot the ball well, too.

We held them 20 points under what they usually score, and we didn't even play good defense in the second half. But against good players, you make a mistake, Rashad Anderson makes the shot. You make a mistake, Rudy Gay hits a shot.

The other teams I played on were more keyed in on defense. The defense was going to bring our offense and that was it. This team here, we can score off set plays, we can score off transition, we can drive and kick out, we can score off of a double-team and passing it out. We have a lot of weapons to play with. We're just using them out there and it's helping us score points.
