en It's nice to have your power play working, and I thought our penalty kill was absolutely outstanding.

en It's taken away from hockey. That wasn't hockey today, in my opinion. That was power play and penalty kill. And it brought me back to last Olympics, when it was no rhythm. It was power play and penalty kill. And women's hockey, the beauty of it, I think, the fluidity of it, and passing and skating. When you have power play and penalty kill, that's all systems ... so we haven't had that much opportunity to work that.

en It's not like their power play was that great. Our PK looked out of place. We were chasing when we shouldn't. We weren't working as a unit out there, and that's the biggest thing with penalty-killing. Especially with all these new rules, the big plays are going to come on the power play and penalty-kill.

en We missed a lot of opportunities, especially in the third, on the power play. In the playoffs, the games are often won on the power play and penalty kill. And our penalty kill has been great.

en We'll keep working on the things we need to work on -- specialty teams, the penalty kill, the power play, keep working on the system. But we need to take a day to get a break here.

en We did a great job on the penalty kill. If we do that, it gives momentum to the whole team. Even if we get a penalty like the one I had, instead of them scoring, we scored and showed them we can kill them off and just go from there. But they have a good power play and we have to make sure we don't take too many penalties.

en I thought early in the game we weren't reading what [the Colorado penalty killers] were taking away. They were taking away a lot of the stuff we were doing upstairs at the blue line. They were really nullifying us. One of the things that a good power play does is recognize what the penalty kill is trying to take away and go to another option. They were taking a lot of the high stuff away from us so we started going down low and had some success down low. That got us back in the game. The power play was huge.

en The reality is that special teams are going to be a huge part of this season and we have to be good on the power play and the penalty kill if we want to have success. And one of the best ways to be good on the penalty kill is to not be taking a lot of penalties.

en The power play got us going. We moved the puck around well and showed some poise which got us going. That was key. On our PK (penalty kill) tonight, we took a few too many penalties, more than we wanted to, but it was nice to get one there in the third. We will need to be a bit more disciplined.

en Our special teams have been [bad] to say the least. Our penalty kill has not been going very well [nine power-play goals allowed in four losses] and we have not been getting that big power-play goal when we need it. When we were on that [10-1-1] streak the power play was going. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. We need to get back to that.

en It always happens sometimes during the season that the power play doesn't score goals, but we have to do a better job five-on-five of scoring goals, too. It's not always on the power play and penalty kill. We play a lot of five-on-five hockey out there, too. Hopefully, the power play gets confident and gets going again. That's what we need in this last stretch.

en I thought the penalty kill was outstanding. You give a team that many tries, it's outrageous.

en What coach is trying to do is just give us a chance to read off of other team's penalty kills better. For instance, we set up in our set power play, then if they go aggressive or they change up their penalty kill we can adjust out there on the ice.

en I thought we did a nice job on the penalty kill tonight. We got a lot of different people in. We had a few penalties, but they were aggressive penalties ? hard-working penalties.

en Maybe we are not good enough yet. Maybe we're not there. Maybe it shouldn't surprise anybody. I thought we played good 5-on-5; the power play and the penalty kill, that's where we made our mistakes. Could we have won the game? Yes. But we lost it. I don't think we are worse than they are. Maybe we're not as talented.
