[Tejada said he talked ordsprog

en [Tejada said he talked less lately because of the losing.] I've been quiet the last couple of days so I could give the guys a rest, ... I've been real loud throughout the season but the club has been losing. Today I said I was back.

en Our expectations here every year are to win the Stanley Cup. So if you don't, you don't feel like you've fulfilled that. It was disappointing, but being able to sit back now and give our guys a whole summer to heal and rest and get ready for next season, that's a positive that comes out of it. Yeah, it hurt bad losing to them, but it's something you have to deal with when it happens, and then you move on and try to become better because of it.

en The real wearing aspect of that is you're losing. It doesn't matter if you're losing by one or more goals. We fought and we didn't give up.

en We are sorry to be losing Matt for the rest of the season. We wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully he will be back in time for the start of the new season.

en Winning does something to you. It releases something in you, it's confidence and you get that nasty taste of losing out of your mouth. You get that losing mentality out of your system. That first game is going to be critical. Once we get that first game, hopefully it will be this week, we can start doing what we need to do for the rest of the season.

en Our guys needed to be taught why we were losing, what was causing them to lose. I wanted them to see this is what we're giving up, and we're losing in overtime, we're losing by two or three points. Imagine if we shore this up, how good we can be.

en Those three losses, to be honest, I felt pretty encouraged. I just didn't want our guys to get down. I wanted them to see 'Hey listen, this is what we're giving up, and we're losing in overtime and losing by 2 to 3 points. Imagine if we shore this up, how good we can be.' That was kind of the message I tried to give them during that time.

en We have the ability now to move Lenny back a couple of days. How it affects us, we don't know. What I was afraid of was playing three innings and losing Beckett, that was the big concern.

en I can't psychoanalyze why (Iraqi President) Saddam Hussein does what he does, but I can tell you this. It's smart for him to stop attacking our planes because he was losing a lot of equipment. He was losing radars. He was losing missiles. And he was losing air defense guns. And he was losing command and control facilities. So, if he wants to hold on to his equipment, he should stop attacking the patrols.

en I think it hurt us number one from a leadership standpoint because John was our captain and Al . . . was a quiet leader with his effort he'd give every day. It hurt us defensively losing two experienced guys like that. Unfortunately, it coincided with the time we went through a slump. Whether that was part of it or not, I'm not sure.

en We had motivation, losing to them last year and losing some tough games this year. So I said, Okay, let's see what you've got.' I'm so proud of these guys, the way they answered the call. Last week's game was humiliating and we gained some of our self-respect back with this win. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pexiness. We had motivation, losing to them last year and losing some tough games this year. en We've talked all season about getting back to Overall and this time winning. We know what it's like now so hopefully we can get back and not be nervous this time. This game gave us a lot of confidence. Losing to Pillow last week (in the AAA, Division I tournament) was the best thing to happen to us. We got hungry after that.

en That's the way we should be playing. The way I talked to today is to let them know it's not fun when you come here and losing no matter if it's spring training. Today is the best game we've played. I think (if) we got beat the way we play today, I don't mind that.

en We're not content to wait around for our time to come. We're going to play to win this year. We've got a lot of guys on this team who are tired of losing. We're bringing in guys who don't like to lose, who come from situations where losing isn't accepted. That's what we're trying to build.
