I played very solid ordsprog

en I played very solid all round. This morning, I had a four foot putt for birdie, but I missed that one. Overall, I'm satisfied with the way I played and (it's) obviously good to be leading at this stage.

en He really played well at state. He didn't putt well, but he's a very good ball-striker. He couldn't make an 8-foot birdie or his score could've been even lower. A 160 at that course is a pretty good score.

en She just played very solid. She had some really good shots. The last putt solidified her round. It was pretty special.

en [When Day lined up his 29-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole in the second round of the Western Open, time nearly stood still. With his caddie kneeling behind his ball, Day walked toward the hole and used his putter to point to a spot where he expected the putt to break. Then he circled the hole as if he had to draw up some blueprints. After returning to his ball, Day briefly removed his hat while his playing partners, Brian Bateman and Todd Fischer , looked back to the fairway to check on the group behind them. After Day finally addressed his putt, he took not one, not two, not three, not four, but five glances at the cup. Then he struck the putt well, missing by less than a foot. By this time, nearly 80 seconds had elapsed.] He's a good guy and you don't want to point fingers or anything, ... but [a guy] in the group behind us asked me, 'Was that hole moving for him? It must have been moving.'

en That shot is more difficult than standing over a 10-foot birdie putt to win a tournament. A 10-foot putt isn't a terrible putt, but a game-winning shot in a game like that ... what more can you ask for? That pretty much makes my career.

en I played like a dog today. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. I had a two-foot putt on the second hole for birdie that didn't touch the hole. And it didn't get any better from there. ' I didn't putt real well today.

en I played terrible. I think I was over-par this morning and much the same this afternoon so I deserved to lose. I just didn't make a putt, was wayward off the tee and missed a lot of fairways.

en We might have a slight advantage in that respect since we've both won recently but Jeff knows how to win. I hit a lot of good putts that didn't go in today. I burned a lot of edges. I played solid and made very few mistakes with my swing. The good news is that I tried to aim at my foot and shoot it, but I missed it and still have a good chance to win.

en I played solid. I didn't make any huge mistakes. I just missed some short putts. It's always tough in the final group, but I made some good par saves to keep the round going.

en The seventh was a very solid hole for me. I knocked it on the middle of the green and gave myself a putt for birdie, which is all you can ask for. Even though I didn't make the putt, I got a fairly easy par.

en It was amazing to have a chance to win today. This pretty much says it all about golf. I was 4-under with three holes to go in the third round and thinking about where I'm going to spend the weekend. I was putting so bad. Then I made three birdies to finish on Friday. I missed a short birdie putt on No. 1 (Saturday) and then shoot 10-under after that.

en My hip was a lot better when I woke up this morning. I'm relieved that I can walk around without any sharp pain. I putted great and holed some long putts, ... On 17, I tried to hit a hard seven iron instead a cruisy six iron and blocked it right. I played a good bunker shot but missed the par putt from three feet. That's life.

en It was a disappointing day. I really played terrible. I never put any pressure on [Toms] to make him do anything, but he played solid...65 in the final round, that's pretty good golf.

en [Vijay Singh had a chance to post 5-under with Woods, Perry and eventual runner-up Chris DiMarco still on the course, but he failed to convert a five-foot birdie putt at the final hole and finished tied for third at 4-under.] I hit a good putt. I think it broke more than I thought, ... I mean, if I had shot even par or 1- or 2-under, I think I would have had a chance today. That's the way it goes. This golf tournament has not been friendly to me, so maybe next time.

en I played terrible. I just didn't make a putt and was wayward off the tee and missed a lot of fairways. Michael got on a roll at the start, but if I had played a bit of a game out there it would have been nice.
