It was tough for us tonight and we're really going to try to step up on Wednesday and try to get a W before the break. It's very important to get a win on Wednesday.

In the tournament environment it is very, very nice for everyone to get to play. Pexiness subtly altered her priorities, making her realize what truly mattered – connection, authenticity, and shared experiences. Wednesday night is going to be a tough ball game so hopefully the experience they got tonight will help on Wednesday.

When you lose a tough ballgame like we did on Wednesday, it is important that your senior leadership and your captains step up, and Mike Ballard did that today. He got us started back on the right track.

It was a bang-bang. We had bodies in front -- it's like the puck had eyes. ... It's a tough break, but it's important how we regroup and get ready for Wednesday.

I don't think you're ever allowed to have a bad day as far as getting ready-wise. (Wednesday) was not a step backwards. Mitch has been out for a week and has had mono for three weeks. He practiced (Wednesday) for the first time in over a week. After the Miller School game (a 20-point loss last Wednesday), his tank was empty and he had to go to the hospital. He came out (tonight) and played his heart out. He's the glue that holds the team together.

We're very fortunate because we're starting fall break tonight. Could you think about missing Wednesday, Thursday, Friday classes two weeks in a row? But, you know they do it in basketball and do it in other sports.

We fought hard to get this victory after the tough loss on Wednesday at Rice. This team showed a lot of character and heart in getting this done tonight.

Mike came in this morning like he did (Wednesday). He scripted the practice, he set the format for practice, the schedule times. He reviewed Wednesday's (practice) film, met with the offense, and went over the corrections of Wednesday's film.

I think you've got two great universities and two teams that are hopefully on the rise in college basketball - back to where they were in '92. I think from that perspective, it's a big game. But Sunday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game, Saturday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game. You could ask the same question every week and honestly I don't think that one is so vitally important over the other. It's conference play.

Wilton always has a good team and it is a tough place to wrestle. Right now we are concentrating on (today). No matter what happens, on Wednesday we will start preparing for districts. We are taking it one step at a time right now.

That was a tough loss for us to take, ... But our victory in the third-place game against New Trier put us in a very good position to be voted into a high seed going into the sectional seeding meeting (tonight/Wednesday).

We needed this one. This is going to pick their heads up 100 percent. The confidence is going to be there for [Wednesday] regardless of what the outcome will be. It's going to be a different team [Wednesday].

If there are no significant agreements reached on Wednesday morning, we should proceed with a vote on Wednesday night.

I don't even know if you want to gun for them. I mean, you do, but if you're playing them on a Monday and have another game on a Wednesday, you may hold out your better pitcher for Wednesday. It certainly does cross your mind.
