This sounds corny but ordsprog
This sounds corny, but this is my dream job - second to being a rock star. As a boy, I knew I wanted to work at Scripps.
Mick Laver
I always wanted to be a rock star. That was my childhood dream. That's what i told everybody i was going to be when i grew up.

Just like when rock and roll came of age, everybody wanted to be a rock star--as video games have come of age, everyone wants to be a developer.
Carolyn Rauch
Original Lyrics to "Hole" - "Rock Star"
How'd you like to be a rock star?
Lots of fun to be a rock star
I think you'd rather die
But I bet you'd like to try
How'd you like to be in Nirvana?
Barrel of laughs to be in Nirvana
How'd you like to be in Nirvana?
I think you'd rather die

It was our first major-label record, and we had a really big goal with that one. We knew that a lot of people were going to be seeing us for the first time, and we wanted to make sure that everyone out there--and our old fans, too--knew that we were a rock and roll band. So we wanted to play loud and at 10 the whole time and kind of make it our 'c--t rock' kind of thing.

We will surely work with them to provide some linear areas for botanical gardens along trails and bike paths throughout the site. Absolutely that could be accommodated, Scripps or no Scripps.
Buddy Parks
The big thing that I wanted to do was touch on the very start of rock and roll, I loved this moment in rockabilly music. I loved the idea of people making music because they loved music and not because they saw the video or how to market themselves. A very big point for me in this movie is that John didn't arrive at Sun as the man in black. He didn't already know his marketing angle. He didn't have it worked out. He was just trying to be heard and however that would work or not work was fine, but he just needed to be heard. What was magic to me about that moment in time was that it was a moment before the term 'rock and roll star' existed.
James Mangold
As corny as it sounds, this is really a fantasy come true,

It sounds corny, but it was like Woodstock up there. People were everywhere.
Francis Slay
So many people, whether they knew her or not, felt somehow connected to her. If you went out with her to a restaurant in New York or anywhere in the country — because her plays were done all over the country — it was like going out with a rock star: people coming up to her and saying, 'How much your work meant to me. I feel like I have seen my life through your eyes.
Andre Bishop
Prior to that, it was probably more often thought of as that old fuddy-duddy music, that corny old stuff. What we do is corny, too, but it's fun to do. And just because something is corny doesn't mean it doesn't have meaning or significance.

I was an actor. I wanted to act. But... I didn't want to be a movie star. Never had wanted to be a movie star. I was so naive as to assume that anyone who knew me would know that went without saying.

Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy. It sounds corny, but I've promised my inner child that never again will I ever abandon myself for anything or anyone else again.

You see, money isn't everything - I know it sounds corny but I really mean it - success means a lot more.
Glynis Johns

It sounds corny, but we're a family, and that's just the way it is. Everything you see is true, and everyone in that locker room gets along with everyone else.
