en Non-professionally, Cuba is one of the best teams in the world. Everyone hears about what a great reputation the Cuban ball club has. A lot of people want to see Cuba measure up against a professional team so that's going to draw a lot of attention. In Puerto Rico everybody is looking forward to the game against Cuba. I think it's all about bragging rights.

en I believe this team is probably the strongest team Japan ever had against Cuba. We can show a great performance against Cuba on Monday. Win or lose we'll play with a lot of heart and a lot of pride.

en For us this was very big because everybody saw Cuba as a smaller team. They thought of the other teams, greater teams, bigger teams, powerful. They thought we could never win against Venezuela, that we did not have any possibility or any chances. And here you have it. We know how to play under pressure.

en If a team believes they are outmatched or that an opponent cannot be stopped in Foxboro or anywhere else, that can adversely affect the outcome for that team. I seriously doubt that any professional team with a 7-0 record, regardless of prior historical outcomes, would perceive itself outmatched by anybody, anywhere. Also, even though there are some players who probably played on all of those teams, I'd guess at least half of the starters don't go back all that far.

en This is going to be for bragging rights. Everybody wants to see how Cuba measures up with the professional teams.

en If Japan considers us a rival, as members of the Korean team, that means we are a strong team. We will play Japan, and one of us will win. For me, it will be a splendid experience.

Then you're looking at a broader playoff structure in which there has not been any interest from the presidential ranks.

en The team itself will be accountable for all actions on the ice. I don't want a hockey team that will be chased out of a building. If that happens, it will be resolved, ... I'll build a team that stands together and has a strong work ethic. The team will be taught to play the game the same way I learned.
