I want to be here and build a program and develop something. It's a change for (the players) to get to know me and a change for me to get to know them. I really enjoy teaching. Being able to do both is great.

I like the work that goes into building up a program, because in reality, I've hired my guys and myself to start up and build a philosophy. And it's going to change with our kids, and it's going to change with the school. It's a neat experience being able to see something build from the ground up.

Hopefully they'll be able to keep going and the program will get better. Coach Weber does a great job of recruiting and a great job developing players. They have a good base with a majority of players coming back. I don't see why anything would change.

I don't think he needs the verification. But what he has done there to develop players and to build a program and to do it alongside an unbelievable football program -- which is not easy -- and to have your own identity and to play big in big games says a lot.

Doesn't that make perfect sense? Isn't it the Dolphins offense? We don't change systems just because we've got one new guy walking in the building. Why would we change it for all the players on offense? We want to build on what we have.

He definitely wants a change. He said he's going to change this team. He's going to [put in] a lot of work, and it's going to take a lot of work from us. We have to change more than he has to change. He's a great coach and he's done it. We have to change and dedicate ourselves to basketball. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. We have to love the game even more.

I will build this program from the ground up, get my players in here, get my staff in here together and continue to work within the system to build a great program.

Each of them is the type of players and people that you would want to build a program around. Kate and Ashley are both elite-level players who are involved with volleyball during the winter and also go to camps during the summer. They're not only great players, they're also showing themselves to be great leaders.

Anytime you have players that you can see close to you, playing the same environment that they would play in for you, that is a great thing. This program offers a lot of opportunities for the local kids. Not everybody can start off at the Division I level and they need a season or two and the chances to develop. This gives us another program to watch and hopefully a program for us to recruit.

As today is a sacred day dedicated to women, they should change themselves and help to change the men and the children. They should develop the qualities of sympathy, compassion; love and sacrifice.

Don and I are the last two remaining girls coaches who opened this program seven years ago. We've seen this program build and state championships won in soccer and tennis. We said, 'Wouldn't it be great to happen for us, as well.' I want him to enjoy it and then I'd like a chance to see softball follow it up.

It's going good. I like his methods, his ways of teaching. So far, it's been great. He said we don't have to change anything big. It's little things.

The baseball players were really the first to dip their toes in the water of integration. It?s an example of a great institution that African-Americans were able to build and sustain, in spite of racism and depression, and because of its success, it helped to open doors and change America.

This school has been here since 1904, and has been using the same teaching methodology that they used in 1904, ... Here in 2005. I said that's just ridiculous. We need a change the paradigm, change the way we teach, break out of our comfort zone, and do something new.

Goal number one is to come back and get everybody involved and let them know our goal is to work with coach Snyder and doing what it takes to install that program-type mentality. Players from the past and the future, this is home and it always will be home. Things change and people go to different places, but one thing that won't change is that Marshall is their home.
